Quotes about regression, page 3
Subsistence in Nonexistence
If I would exasperate and counterfeit a smile voided of depth,
Would you surmise it is corrupted by a whimsy death?
Held by brazen anguish and slaughtered torment in ambiguity
Beckoned by subdued wails throbbing beneath an exterior of dexterity
Praying with mendacities at the corner of the dark unsparing lips
Regression quells the fire of anticipation looming over the steepest cliff
No smoke too livid to mantle the rupturing scars and antipathy
Neither heaven nor hell can duly fortify what is and what should never be.
Sealed underneath a calendar with faltering figures and crawling senility
Exhume the squalors of tailored tales omitted of the grandest fallacy
By daylight, the incinerating lances of the sun stabs to bleed a carnival
Festooned with anonymous carousals, gilded with simpers too baronial
And by darkness, the scorching absence of hilarity cradles a labyrinth
An infinite carousel grotesquely attended with the balm of hyacinths.
Infested by one too many scathing pieces of a shattered shabby heaven
Take me in and we will both bleed with self-inflected gash with eyes open
The further you discern, the fewer you learn; the more you have to be stern
In burying the colors of your concern, veiling in the shadows where no one discerns

Cool Culture, The
I ask,
What culture do we have?
Cool is not a culture
We have become accustom to non-sense
Violence, Hopelessness, Horrors
And it all breeds disillusionment
Fantasies swell
You not a man,
You not a part of the human continuum
You something else, something less,
Less in-tune with reality
The people talk about real everyday
What’s real, what’s more real?
Who’s the realest?
Because the people aren’t real
Their values aren’t real
Their priorities aren’t real

Prima Noctis
Of human misery what’s left to tell
the single bead of the moon
that makes a lonely rosary of revolutions,
one face always turned away
as if it refused to look upon
its own imploring features
in the brutal, breathless, garish light of day,
or those of the earth
reviewed in the turning below?
I am nothing, a man, a microbe on a skull
picked clean by immaculate cannibals
whose hands are greased with brains,
my much vaunted, cultivated consciousness
and sterling will, free, or spontaneously
predetermined, the leaf of an afterthought
enhancing my passion for light
and periodic sentences.
Look where you will
and tell me this is evolution; tell me
this is that continuum of used mutations

One
Affirmative may be justified
Take from one give to another
The goal is to be unified
Take my hand be my brother
The payment silenced the masses
Sanctified by oppression
Unity took a backseat
Sliding further in regression
One The only way is one
I feel angry I feel helpless
Want to change the world
I feel violent I feel alone
Don't try and change my mind
Society blind by color
Why hold down one to raise another
Discrimination now on both sides
Seeds of hate blossom further
The world is heading for mutiny
When all we want is unity
We may rise and fall
