Quotes about retrace, page 3
Perhaps I am doomed to retrace my steps under the illusion that I am exploring, doomed to try and learn what I should simply recognize, learning a mere fraction of what I have forgotten.

It is easy to go down into Hell; night and day, the gates of dark Death stand wide; but to climb back again, to retrace one's steps to the upper air - there's the rub, the task.

A love is promise
love is promise
love is sunrise
love is to rise
love is to surprise
love all
give a beautiful call
don't retrace
always face
a rare joy
and completely enjoy
ask for lord's blessings
don't create trouble while fishing

Everything Once Familiar
A standard valued and a way of life lived,
Is crushing those with a fixed point of view.
Everything once familiar,
Known and kept in place...
Is slipping away faster,
Than anyone can retrace the importance.

Oh you who are born of the blood of the gods, Trojan son of Anchises, easy is the descent to Hell the door of dark Dis stands open day and night. But to retrace your steps and come out to the air above, that is work, that is labor

Dead End
Some roads are filled with dead ends
where you have to turn around
and go back,
retrace your footsteps
and take another route.
How many times in life,
have we gone down dead ends
and had to go back
to where we started
and start all over again.

Early Morning Poetess
ALOUD
you must think
in all silence
must you speak
your hands
tie them in restraints
more divine
your mind shall open
still to the
unspeakable
your steps
retrace what was
hanging in the longing
you watch
three hundred sixty degrees
24 hours
this earth released

Unasked
Right on top, you were inching slowly.
United in hate
they were tracking you.
Trespassing the epochs
you want to go back in stone age
to retrace the steps
of a homeless sapience.
In the brown desert of high hunches
you were treading haltingly
hounded by rivals,
utterly unethical.
You drew a circle
without a center,
readying for a guillotine.

That You Can Not Do
The only way you can walk in my shoes,
Is when I am finished wearing them.
And to you they are donated.
To then retrace the steps where I have been.
And even then the wearing of them would not fit.
Since what they have been through,
You wouldn't be able to tolerate it.
How do I know this?
You see them as just shoes.
But I used them as tools.
And sometimes as weapons.
And that you can not do.
