On The Photo In The Newspaper
On the photo in the newspaper -
The soldiers, standing arm in arm,
The heroes of the World War II,
With smiles on faces and charm.
The photo was taken before a battle,
Before the guns began to rattle.
The sky was blue,
The grass was green,
The friends were true
The truest you have ever seen.
No one knows their names
No one knows who they are,
May be someone was James,
But everyone was peculiar.
They lay in a battlefield
Just beginning to live
For the sky to be blue,

Wishing Her Luck by Donald Trump
Jenna Talackova won her case
now she can compete with taste.
Donald wished her luck once
his organization said yes and it stuck.
Back in year 2005
Miss Universe came walking by.
I was told to take her photo quite nice
I did, I did not think twice.
Miss Universe's photo I did take
at Mar-a-Largo on spring break.
I would of never would of guessed
if this woman was born this way
so it does it matter if she is was
straight, transgender or gay?
I couldn't detect from the naked eye
so God would be the only one to testify.
We have free will that the source gave to us
so her cares if Rosy was a Russ.

Funny Times With Rich
Electric guitar plays the sounds,
of Rich’s guitar to the crowd.
The crowd at bar called the Paradise,
in West Palm Beach and it was nice.
Shooting photographs of Rich’s band,
I made interesting photos of Rich
while Augie the lead singer sang.
Now this was in the year 2005,
it was before Clematis really came alive.
Construction mess was just outside,
while band played on really loud.
One night Razel puppet stole the show,
by end of night Augie was red angry with a glow.
Check out Augie’s photo on www.razelpuppet.com
it is a really funny photo of Razel I have found.
Thanks Rich for some happy times,
never a dull moment I can testify.

Always The Bride, But Not The Groom
Always the bride, but not the groom
that is what I became
when I went to a Wedding in October.
We went to the wedding,
then along to the reception.
I stood talking to a couple of friends
and the bride rushed in and said to me.
“Dave look after these for me“
She then commenced to hand me
her bridal bouquet and handbag.
One of our friends Donall
gave me a hug and kiss
and asked me to marry him.
His partner Janice grabbed her camera
and took a photo of me,
bridal bouquet in one hand, handbag in the other
and a lopsided smile from the mouth ulcer I had.
Right there and then I became a bride, but not the groom.

The guy in the photograph
Out of the old tin frame
the 1944, I guess, photo, shines
a carefree smile from the 15-year-old
caught on a hillside in the summer air
in pure happiness..or so it images..
It’s the only photo from the album
that I like to have around; I look at it
and marvel that I ever looked like that
for more than one unguarded moment..
Is the story of my childhood that I tell myself,
the agonies of growing up, the uncertainties,
the discovery that parents are not perfect…
the not knowing who one really is…or might be…
all that, a fiction, or a fraction of the truth?
From time to time, I glance at it,
(as my parents must have done,
with all the thoughts that I’ll now never know) :

A Photograph of mother
A young girl poses for a photo,
soft features, plump hands, full lips,
a sweet expression, under an archway of flowers
hung in spring and blooming now.
One day, the girl in the photograph
will be my mother.
She'll grow weary, lose her youthful glow.
toil and sweat.
She'll suffer pain, great hardship
but she'll not want for love
for that I will give
all the rest of her life.
Her journey has not yet begun,
look in her eyes, see how they glisten,
they yearn for the future,
for happiness and fun.

When The Running Stops
When the Running Stops
In the enclose, outside the slaughterhouse, sheep were running in rings,
first to the left, and then to the right; in the end there was only one left
and it was too tired to run. I have lost two more friends, feel as I’m
the only sheep left in the enclosure and too tired to run. Heartache and
fun, we had it all in our adolescence. Then our way parted, but you never
forget a childhood friend.
Two years ago I was going to see them, a reunion of school friends going
back fifty years. In the end I didn’t go, knew we would talk a lot first then
fall silent. What we remembered was our friendship then and the past is
another country, as the poet says.
I knew the chasm of years could not be bridged, over meal and too much
wine. One of my friends sent me a photo of the party, a group of old men
I would have walked past in the street and not recognized any of them.
I put the photo up on the wall in my office, but soon took it down again.
Time is a cruel enemy I cry for them and me.

The Time Amazed and Dumbfound
The exact time, when heart and brain shall connect
And cut down all other communications
That leads to feel soul and body separately
With tears roll and happiness overflow
The perfect time, when stones can be melt to snow
Flood to flower, threat to treat, desert to daffodils.
That leads to stop thinking about tough times
With extend lips and glowing eyes.
The wonderful time, when my dad saw me with trophy
Giving it a gentle rub and tender touch.
That leads me to fly and to try more
With proud look and photo - lovely took
The breathtaking time, when my child got prize
My focal point towards her future rise
That leads to a change in my life style
With confident look and photo - gorgeously took

Photogenic
I have a fantastic photo
Of one once loved,
Cherished, revered, highly esteemed,
Thought of as wondrous,
As if a work of art.
Now all I have left is a work of art...
Once she was considered precious,
Sensational and sweet,
So courteous, considerate,
So fabulous a find...
Once she was courted daily,
Prayed about, regarded as special,
Seen as a reason to praise the Lord,
As if true love were assured...
Once she was all to be desired,
All to be longed for in this life,
As if her love was all there was,
Her kiss the ultimate bliss...
Once she was responsive,
