Quotes about juggling, page 4

The Politician

Carven in leathern mask or brazen face,
Were I time's sculptor, I would set this man.
Retreating from the truth, his hawk-eyes scan
The platforms of all public thought for place.
There wriggling with insinuating grace,
He takes poor hope and effort by the hand,
And flatters with half-truths and accents bland,
Till even zeal and earnest love grow base.

Knowing no right, save power's grim right-of-way;
No nobleness, save life's ignoble praise;
No future, save this sordid day to day;
He is the curse of these material days:
Juggling with mighty wrongs and mightier lies,
This worshipper of Dagon and his flies!

A Cup of Coffee

I start my day with coffee as my friend
The beans so fresh, as it blends
Giving out an aroma, that wakes me up
I stumble to the kitchen and look for the cup
I pour some black liquid and sip right away
I just want coffee, to start my day
Then on the road I'm on my way
Coffee is my friend to make my day
Stuck in traffic, I loose my mind
I then sip my coffee and just rewind
I get to work with a cup in hand
Juggling with papers I can't withstand
The coffee at work tastes bitter and cheap
But it's better than getting caught counting sheep
All day long, I make pot after pot
Of black steaming mugs of liquid gut-rot
Tanked up on coffee, I face the day
Taking anything that comes my way.

Plus Size

Are u a plus size girl?
Now dun be mad, girl
Just stating a fact, girl
Not that you overeat, girl

Sometimes it could be, girl
A medical condition, girl
Stuck in that position, girls
Being a woman, girls
Juggling career, family, girls

Going into menopause, girls
Can play havoc, girls
To our weight, girls
Hormones at play, girls
Or lack of it, girls

Plus size is in, girls
Throw the diet in the bin, girls
Sexy curves, girls

Midnight Call

Sometimes in the stillness
of the night.
I hear faint voice
call my name.
In quiet peace
protracted hours of day
even in midst
howling rush hour traffic.

I know not
who or where
only I know you call
within deep within I hear.
I hear a feline fluted voice
call echo hauntingly
breath suck silhouette forth
musk lobe secrets siesta perfume.

I hear a haunting female voice
call echo eternally

Drama With Cats

Dramatists reign over the people in print,
This surprising past contaminates the soul-like
Beings called Life.

The jeopardy of a cat is the cleverness
Attached to the brain that it hoists
In these jungle manners, juggling away
The night.

A ball has been placed on its head,
After the rush of dazed behemoths,
Carrying forever the trails of a certain
Sentence such as this residue.

Sculptors misname their cats and dogs
After a deity, and this spells a stroke of kindness
On the gentle furry animals
Of the past and future.

May we enlighten the world with residue

Juggling

If it enters the mind,
It's going to find out why it's there.
You're going to act upon it.
It's going to be there knowing that.
It's just going to take time for denial to fade away.

And staying away from temptation,
Is like trying to hide from the tax man!
You are going to bump into each other,
Eventually!
Either decide you're going to deal with it,
or suffer the consequences...
For a delayed decision.

Either way you're going to pay.
Curiosity has a price.
Whether it's bought outright...
Laid away or leased.
Either way...
You are going to pay,

The Changes...

when i was a college student
and as expected of my own gullibility
in search of my relevance
i went to the streets and had a juggling
of such words as
freedom, democracy,
and independence
and due to such nitpicking there
are lots of differences
and semantics work well
with the clubs and bruises and
hamlets

things change always for the better i suppose

bellies protrude, wrinkles grow like grasses,
hears and anger mellow down like melted ice
boiling water cools down,
people settle, marry, have children and
miss picnics and class reunions

United Soviet Strategic Alliance

Brutality imprisoned upon
group consciousness
impacts against sanctions.
Hotheads work against
ethos etiquette evaporating
evasive consensus.

United Nations act solely
upon noble discretion justified
super-power whims.
Inaction action dictated
within preconceived established
spheres of political influence.

Castrating humanitarian
suppressed ethnic needs
within constructed artificial
obsolete buffer zones
predatory Quasi-empiricism
nationalism endorsed.

What makes a marriage?

It has been almost forty years
Since we had taken our marriage
Vows. Yes, we are still together.
I guess that means something today

Considering most never last
More than, I suspect, a few years;
Sometimes I can understand why
Marriage is not a piece of cake.

In the beginning all is fine
Everything is brand spanking new
But that finish dulls quite quickly.
That moment after the “I do’s”

The gravity of the marriage
Begins to materialize.
Vowing for better or for worse
Were just words uttered thoughtlessly.

Being Driven Right Out of My Mind

You got me shook up and my mind is gone!
I go to bed with all my house lights on.
I feel the thumpin' from those gansta beats.
Somebody's juggling balls of concrete.
And I drink tea...
To help me fall asleep.

You got me shook up and my mind is gone!
Oh oh.
I go to bed with all my house lights on.
Oh oh.
I feel the thumpin' from those gansta beats.
Oh oh.
And I drink tea.
To help me fall asleep.
It's after three...
And the walls are creaking.

And I'm,
Being driven right out of my mind.
