The Love Of The Common People
This song appears on two albums, and was first released on the Whose Garden Was This? album, and has also been released on the Changes album.
Living on free food tickets
Watering the milk from the hole in the rool
Where the rain came through
What can we do?
Tears from your baby sister crying
Cause she doesn't have a dress
Without a patch for the party to go
Ah, but you know she'll get by because she's
Living in the love of the common people
Smiles from the heart of a family man
Daddy's going to buy you a dream to cling to
Mommy's gonna love you as much as she can, and she can
It's a good thing you don't have bus fare
It would fall through the hole in your pocket
And you'd lose it in the snow on the ground
Walkin' to town to find a job
Tryin' to keep your hands warm
But the hole in your shoe lets the snow come through
And it chills to the bone

Two hundred and fifty mummies covered in gold. Something like this cannot be explained - mummy after mummy covered in shining gold.

Mothers Arms
I wish I was a child again,
Nestled in my mother's arms.
Just to be kept safe.
From the evils of this world.
Please mummy hold me.
Keep me safe.
I wish I could stay in your arms.
Please hold me.
Help me.
Please protect me mummy.
Please dont let them get me.
Hold me hold me.
Keep my safe in your arms.
Please defend me.
Dont let them get me again

Can We Work It Out?
Could we work it out?
Become a family?
I promise i'll be better,
Mummy i'll do anything,
Mummy please don't cry,
Your pain is killing me,
And tearing me down,
I'll be so much nicer,
I'll be so much better,
I'll go to bed when you tell me too,
Just please don't cry,
And try and be happy,
Daddy please listen,
Hear me out,
I need your arms around me,
I want you to hold me forever,
Come back home,
I question when I will next feel your love?

Until the door opened
We seemed like the perfect family
mommy had a job daddy had a job
i was getting good grades
kids were doing good
but behind closed doors the real us happeened
mummy and daddy yelled at eachother i was hurting in ways i couldn't explain.
UNTIL the door opened daddy walked out as if the wind blew him out
mummy was hurting emotionally and spiritually
i got bad grades and most of all i lost faith in god
Until jesus spoke to us as a family
daddys still gone but were stronger as the family thats left.

Please dont be sad
Please dont be sad.
Yes I took my own life.
Becuase it was to much strife.
My pain I couldnt bare.
At least now you dont have to watch me killing myself.
It's all done and over.
I'm sorry really I am.
But please just remember this.
Please dont cry for me mummy.
I am right here.
Although you cant see me.
I see your tears.
I visit often.
And when its time to close your eyes.
On your pillow is where I lay.
I hold your hand and stroke your hair.
And whisper in your ear.
If you sad today mummy.

I Touched The Rainbow In The Sky!
I had a dream in a rainy day,
I was watching up the evening sky,
My mummy was standing by my side,
My daddy was lifting me so high,
Over the shoulder all the while!
My dream takes me up and up,
My mummy is accompanying me
towards the moon against the rain,
My elder brother too encourages me,
who is five years elder to me!
He also gives a helping hand,
The rainbow also bows its head,
He pushed me up with his might,
I was flying like a kite,
Now I can touch the rainbow!
I woke up from my dream,
I am, now, lying on my bed!

The Family
Hinemoa, Tui, Maina,
All of them were born together;
They are quite an extra special
Set of babies--wax and leather.
Every day they took an airing;
Mummy made them each a bonnet;
Two were cherry, one was yellow
With a bow of ribbon on it.
Really, sometimes we would slap them,
For if ever we were talking,
They would giggle and be silly,
Saying, "Mamma, take us walking."
But we never really loved them
Till one day we left them lying
In the garden--through a hail-storm,
And we heard the poor dears crying.

Going Out For A Picnic
Going out for a picnic,
Nothing to worry and panic,
When the adult children accompanied,
What is there to be distressed?
Mummy prepares the food,
Daddy buys the snacks with good mood,
The children take their net books, I phones, PDAs,
All go for a picnic in Putra Jaya.
When daddy switches on the radio,
The children close their ears,
One with the hands and the rest with ear plugs,
Mummy watches the brood without any clue.
The angry daddy looks at them,
Expects them to speak what he wants to listen,
The son talks to his girlfriend through sms,
The daughter plays the CG online.
