Ode to Love
Ode to love
for it is what keeps us going.
Ode to the people that love you.
Without them, life isn't worthwhile.
Ode to people who lost their lives to love
for they might have simply tried to give
while sadness and despair took.

Ode to the American Soldiers
Ode to the American Soldiers
for fighting for our Freedom
for making this day real
Ode to the American soldiers
Iraq, Afghanistan, countries galore
they risk their lives for ours
Support them, pray for them

Ode To The Heart
Ode to the heart that continues to feel
Through the many years of heart-ache
The lingering hurt
The many lies
The many tears shed
The many feelings being hidden
To this I say ode to the heart that continues to feel
For some hearts they turn to stone
Shut everyone out
Some even leave this world
This is why I say
Ode to the heart that continues to feel
With all the hurt in this world

Hey Everyone, She’s AUTISTIC!
Hey everyone look here
It’s the girl with freaky hair
Oh my little does she care
This is an ode to freak shows
And silly dancers in the rain
Glistening cobwebs and rot
A fascination with plants in pots
Your funny sir the way you scream
You make my day with the dinner
I laugh again at this part
This is an ode to miserable old farts
So look at me and you shall see
I bear three heads and a crown
Even if my crown is thorns
I will wear it with pride
Because this is an ode to you dear one
And here I laugh again.

Ode to a Blank Page
Ode to a blank page
It’s blue seemingly thin lines flying across the page
Each producing a small space to place your thoughts on
Next lies the taunting red margin
Baring how sparsely you’ve done
You can strike the page with a single blow
Leaving a mark that did no good
Ode to a blank page
Why do you stare?
Taunting and shrieking in my ear
Emptiness fills the page
The blanks intimidate even the strong
How strong it is
To give a cut even to the toughest skin

Ode To Myself
Ode to myself
From my African roots
Descendant of the great ogiso
Who conquered Africa to the west coast
Unmovable and strong like the great iroko
Ode to myself
With great pride in handwork
Inherent to my tribesmen, known for our prowess and African dexterity
Dreaded for our venom likened to the black mamba's
Burning tropical sun brings out the smelling sweat of our hard work
Ode to myself
Who have been through the thick and thin of life
Yet never dare to give up, cos I know no fear
The only fear I have is known to me
The fear that I will die succeeding, Like the heroes of my past.

Ode To A Robert Frost Poem
I thought I took the road less taken.
But I guess I was mistaken.
When the two paths diverged in the woods; I pondered at which path I must take.
I took the path to my left in the woods; Was it the right path to take?
It was not, but I digress.
Why must I deal will all this stress?
As I sit and try to recall all of the words from the poem Frost once wrote, I must emote.
This ode to that grand old poem that Frost once wrote.
The name of that Robert Frost poem is 'The Rode Not Taken'.
As I write this ode to a Robert Frost's poem, the words he wrote be not mistaken.
I thought I took the path less taken.
I will now end this ode to go eat some bacon.

Ode To Infinity
Ode To Infinity
As I pen this ODE TO INFINITY
into a new translation of existance,
I become obsessed with time.
The way I understand it
is that I can have everything,
except ewe in persona in real time.
And that is when I CRY and then
I weep toward my infinity.
And all the tears cascade upon my frown;
for the love of this mye Violette, my love.
Do not make me lose the comfort
of our forgotten dreams of love,
in the midst of all the hatred
of a world gone mad.
Please kiss her and bless her OH my Lord.
And bring her back to me again.
My Heart would be a shallow place
and very sad indeed,
without the need of my stately qyeen

Ode to my dying Cactus (Rough Draft)
Oh my most enduring cactus!
With more thorns than my years!
I shall water you for the last time
It shall be with my tears!
I recall the joy you gave us!
A representation of love’s endurance…
(And the ferocity it may bring)
I vividly remember, when my senile
Grandmother placed you by the
Light switch, and mother, In a fit
Of anger over some lost remote,
Or sheer grumpiness, smacked
What she thought was the switch!
She screamed so loud, you would
Think the claws of hell had impaled her heart!
And I remember the hours put into
Removing your teeth from her
Palm, consoling her, soothing her agony-

English Bards and Scotch Reviewers (excerpt)
Time was, ere yet in these degenerate days
Ignoble themes obtain'd mistaken praise,
When sense and wit with poesy allied,
No fabl'd graces, flourish'd side by side;
From the same fount their inspiration drew,
And, rear'd by taste, bloom'd fairer as they grew.
Then, in this happy isle, a Pope's pure strain
Sought the rapt soul to charm, nor sought in vain;
A polish'd nation's praise aspir'd to claim,
And rais'd the people's, as the poet's fame.
Like him great Dryden pour'd the tide of song,
In stream less smooth, indeed, yet doubly strong.
Then Congreve's scenes could cheer, or Otway's melt--
For nature then an English audience felt.
But why these names, or greater still, retrace,
When all to feebler bards resign their place?
Yet to such times our lingering looks are cast,
When taste and reason with those times are past.
Now look around, and turn each trifling page,
Survey the precious works that please the age;
