Quotes about unruly, page 4

Miracle

I am the king the most unruly
In my kingdom No rules no law
At my will things are pushed or pulled
My pleasure is your wonder
Dazzle, puzzle, bewilder
You are out when I break down
Under my own jurisdiction
I don't follow
Whatever is the scenario,
Big or small I only know,
How to play with whims
How to play with fancies,
I am very, very simple
With awe you call me a miracle
Down the ages the test of truth
And the testimony of faith
But the quality of both not lies in me
But lies in beauty and in its utility.

Only Way

I will break
Lies and untruth I shall speak
Care no one
Honor no one

Respect to be far away
Arrogance only way
I have wealth
Now young with good health

I can make you down
Blame not own
Big name in town
From one city to other always flown

I am successful
My words are laws and forceful
I use it always but skillfully
Sometimes look gentleman but always unruly

Jonathan Swift

On A Cannon

Begotten, and born, and dying with noise,
The terror of women, and pleasure of boys,
Like the fiction of poets concerning the wind,
I'm chiefly unruly when strongest confined.
For silver and gold I don't trouble my head,
But all I delight in is pieces of lead;
Except when I trade with a ship or a town,
Why then I make pieces of iron go down.
One property more I would have you remark,
No lady was ever more fond of a spark;
The moment I get one, my soul's all a-fire,
And I roar out my joy, and in transport expire.

Edgar Lee Masters

Dorcas Gustine

I was not beloved of the villagers,
But all because I spoke my mind,
And met those who transgressed against me
With plain remonstrance, hiding nor nurturing
Nor secret griefs nor grudges.
That act of the Spartan boy is greatly praised,
Who hid the wolf under his cloak,
Letting it devour him, uncomplainingly.
It is braver, I think, to snatch the wolf forth
And fight him openly, even in the street,
Amid dust and howls of pain.
The tongue may be an unruly member --
But silence poisons the soul.
Berate me who will -- I am content.

Engagement

Tediously long day has passed,
I am now, immemorial about
the brutal engagement.
She was in some ornamental look
as it is………my official deal
with her. With a primitive start
of terrible destruction, I was fatuous.
Her beauty drew all to her,
They are so unruly, krakens,
And fell out o'er her…….
Silently my mind was incrusted
by her….for me.
Like a nightmare, my reasoning power
has lost. As I see a libertine night
is just coming, but,
always with fear.
I believe that loneliness is my friend
Of the ungovernable night.

The petulant heart

The petulant heart
~
Headstrong in its own demands
The whim of a heart stands out
Stubborn in every aspect
It shall love as it sees fit
There is no thought or reason
To the equation of the heart
Just a selfish passion wanting
For a love to be fulfilled
You can not talk it out of loving
Nor ask it to think otherwise
A heart is like a child
Unruly and playful
Yet always growing, learning
It shall do as it does please
Despite all warnings
The sulky nature of the heart
Only wanting its own desires
Is ever present in life

Mother Earth

Ball of molten elements
At the core
Valleys, mountains
Rivers, plains
Lakes and oceans
On the surface laid
Mother earth
Nurtures all
Living beings
Large and small

Man makes dwellings
Roads and buildings
Dams and tunnels
Drilling and mines
Nuclear waste
Polluting chemicals
Coal and burning
Enveloping smoke
Natural surrounding

Lesson

A couple chance the perils of a dance
The music strains, a vapid underture,
Assuming, hesitant, required stance
they make a start, one late, one premature.
Eight limbs, set underall and overneath
in underbalance, tripping overfoot,
He ties his lace, she smooths her rumpled sheath
their steps are incoordinately put.
But underbearing knees, and understeps
her chasses to the left, his to the right,
Their understrung and aching quadriceps
deliver overstanding undernight.
To overcurrents, undercome by fun
‘for[e] dawn's ‘unruly sun' they dance as one.

Hey Clown, Meet With Me

Hey clown,
The whole community
Now under deep slumber
What are you looking at mid night?
You too go for a deep sleep,
No where you will get the truth
Only dark, deeper you go darker the things appeared.
More logic more confusion, no rules,
Everything is breaking everywhere
Randomness is the only rule,
The unruly kingdom where I reign
I am the king of all the kings
Meet with me, I am the biggest truth
The truth of the truths, the most untruth,
The juxtaposition, the ironical paradox
The wonder, the most bewildering box,
Hey clown, go for a sound, deep sleep.

Everybody's A Critic

Oh, to pontificate
on parakeets and poetry
Of birds and words
Of posting and tweets

Of prose and bird beaks
Desk chairs and perches
Of cuttlebone and corn pone
Comments and peeps

Perusal of newspapers
In search of inspiration
Silly words, unruly rythme
seeds plucked from my lips

replacing newspaper
in bottom of cages
Little swings, tiny bells
Head bobs and nips
