Lucky Charm

I dream of you
and me on a ron-de-vou
Somewhere far away
on a trip for two
we'll take a ride a
convertible on a straight highway
Girl nows the time to lay you down and make you mine
[Chorus]
Candy Star, Silver Moon, Cherry Rain, Summer June, Chocolate me, Caramel you, My lucky charm is
what you are
Caramel, Candycane, Sweeter than Sugarcane
love it when you call my name
Lucky Charm is what you are
I'll pour some drinks
then we'll play some CD's
I'll take your hand
and pull you
Up close to me
Now tell me can you hear the voice of love calling you and me
Girl nows the time to lay you down and make you mine

Sun-Up

(Shadows over a cradle…
fire-light craning….
A hand
throws something in the fire
and a smaller hand
runs into the flame and out again,
singed and empty….
Shadows
settling over a cradle…
two hands
and a fire.)

CELIA

Cherry, cherry, glowing on the hearth, bright red cherry…. When you try to pick up cherry Celia's shriek sticks in you like a pin.

When God throws hailstones you cuddle in Celia's shawl and press your feet on her belly high up like a stool. When Celia makes umbrella of her hand. Rain falls through big pink spokes of her fingers. When wind blows Celia's gown up off her legs she runs under pillars of the bank— great round pillars of the bank have on white stockings too.

Purple Cherries

Fragile pink cherry blossoms
fall
that there be sweet purple
cherries in the fall

and each cherry seed
can make the world cherry treed

Romancing A Red Cherry Inside My Mouth

got one cherry
inside my mouth

letting it stay there
as my tongue

toys with a red
sweet cherry

my lips, my lips
drenched

with such sweetness
i salivate

prelude to love
tonight

watery cherry

An Art Message

HE gathered cherry-stones, and carved them quaintly
Into fine semblances of flies and flowers;
With subtle skill, he even imaged faintly
The forms of tiny maids and ivied towers.

His little blocks he loved to file and polish;
And ampler means he asked not, but despised.
All art but cherry-stones he would abolish,
For then his genius would be rightly prized.

For such rude hands as dealt with wrongs and passions
And throbbing hearts, he had a pitying smile;
Serene his way through surging years and fashions,
While Heaven gave him his cherry-stones and file!

Sakura Matsuri Cherry Blossoms in May

Sakura Matsuri Cherry Blossoms in May

Last night,
Listening to the raindrops
Pecking on the window pane,
alerting thought
celebrating spring
With lady goddess that makes
cherry trees bloom.

Night enters into day and
Immersed into the gay;
Garden exploes into patchs
Pink and white blossoms
sprinkling pink flakes for
adults and kids to take.

Cherry trees are expecting all…
Don’t you think so?

There Is A Garden In Her Face

There is a garden in her face
Where roses and white lilies grow;
A heav'nly paradise is that place
Wherein all pleasant fruits do flow.
There cherries grow which none may buy,
Till 'Cherry ripe' themselves do cry.

Those cherries fairly do enclose
Of orient pearl a double row,
Which when her lovely laughter shows,
They look like rose-buds fill'd with snow;
Yet them nor peer nor prince can buy,
Till 'Cherry ripe' themselves do cry.

Her eyes like angels watch them still,
Her brows like bended bows do stand,
Threat'ning with piercing frowns to kill
All that attempt with eye or hand
Those sacred cherries to come nigh,
Till 'Cherry ripe' themselves do cry.

Cherry-Ripe

THERE is a garden in her face
   Where roses and white lilies blow;
A heavenly paradise is that place,
   Wherein all pleasant fruits do flow:
   There cherries grow which none may buy
   Till 'Cherry-ripe' themselves do cry.

Those cherries fairly do enclose
   Of orient pearl a double row,
Which when her lovely laughter shows,
   They look like rose-buds fill'd with snow;
   Yet them nor peer nor prince can buy
   Till 'Cherry-ripe' themselves do cry.

Her eyes like angels watch them still;
   Her brows like bended bows do stand,
Threat'ning with piercing frowns to kill
   All that attempt with eye or hand
   Those sacred cherries to come nigh,
   Till 'Cherry-ripe' themselves do cry.

Circular Weather Girl Poem

She probes the wintry weather, her voice oiled
and golden, warns of the violet-hued storm,
reports the deluge flooding yard and lawn
like a spring haiku thawing icicles.
She points to where the cherry blossoms fall
that still lie wrapped in cherry leaves, the wall
waiting to be hidden by leaf and blob.

A goddess, or a sort of priest with sisters
she waves away the Atlantic squall: she deals
in chance percentages of rainy blusters
born in the doldrums, off Biscay or Faroe.
her every isobar travels through a spring
of butterflies - Gauguan dreams, Pissaro
or Botticelli Floras riding bicycles.

She is the weather girl, our newest myth,
our crowned queen, Cinderella, our blind date.
She comes to life when Barbie dools in moonlight
have lesbian affaris with women graduates.
