Quotes about disarm, page 5

In Poetic

In a way all words are poetic
Doesn't need to be set in any particular way;
for one to stomach it

"It's an injustice I must say
for a mother to never allow her son to play
to disarm belief before it take place
running in an open field of ever green
maneuvering, left and right up and down
with arms spread like flying a plane
a thunderous yell from an obscured mother
child, you have no time to be playing these silly games
make haste
you have studies to attend to"

A poetic line is not just in the mind
it's not necessarily how it sounds or whether or not it rhymes
it's a feeling one gets that sends chills down the spine
simple words of truth and wisdom
is poetic in its own right

A Call to Inspiration and Good Deeds

Accept thy fellows for better or worse,
Welcome all men, however diverse

Inspire whomever ye speak with, touch,
Empowering, uplifting and in as much…

Some may oppose, move to cause harm,
Counter with love, they'll withdraw 'n disarm

Plead, “Oh brother I beseech thee becalm,
Pray lay down thy sword, offer thy palm'

Extend a handshake in peace, good faith,
Be no more stranger nor unhappy wraith

Work together to make world better,
Accounts settled, no longer debtors

Embrace all that suffer love, compassion,
Give water to drink, generous food ration

Written In February 2000

You told me of the peace in Northern Ireland
And for lasting peace in Ireland you did pray
But now I hear that the hard won peace is endangered
Since the terrorists won't give their bombs and guns away.

The Ulster paramilitaries have failed to disarm
So I heard in the news the other day
They want to destabilize the peace agreement
The Loyalist terrorists and the I R A.

The large majority want peace in Northern Ireland
And to the cause of fair play remain true
But to wreck the goodwill brought on by power sharing
It will only take the bad destructive few.

I've heard about the fight for Irish freedom
And the stories of famous battles I recall
But is any Country worth killing or dying for?
There's more to freedom than that after all.

Ella Wheeler Wilcox

In France I Saw A Hill

In France I saw a hill-a gentle slope
Rising above old tombs to greet the gleam
From soft spring skies. Beyond these skies dwells hope,
But those green graves bespeak a broken dream.

There was a row of narrow beds, new-made;
Each bore a starry banner and a cross.
And each the name of one who, ere he played
His rôle of warrior, met earth's final loss.

They were so young, so eager for the fray!
And thoughts of glory filled each boyish heart,
When over dangerous seas they sailed away
To face the foe and play some splendid part.

But in the tedious toil, the dull routine
Which must precede achievement on the field,

Forward To The Future

'for my brothers in Palestine'

I look forward to a future where the Adhan will be
called from the empire state building and the armed
guys in pentagon will disarm and walk intelligently
to prayer never killing women and children

So if Israel would kill civilians in palestine, don't rejoice
brother peter, cos they can kill your children too
when their interest is at stake

i look forward to a future where Allah will relive us of the
trial of Israel

I look forward to a future where even if there`s war, fought
by people who hold responsibility for their ideologies, women
and children bereaved of ideologies will be spared

i look forward to a future where wars will no more be fought
and differences will be settled by mere show of strength

The Good Lord Has Arrived

Do you exude fear or expressions of charm?
Is it you who will ultimately decide,
Will you show love or will you deride,
Or neither option can you abide.

Are you a protector or one who could harm?
Only you can make that decision,
But it must be made with precision,
Hesitation can and will cause derision.

Do you have the ability to disarm?
The faculties to make you aware,
That your skills you'd be willing to share,
Do you have the desire to care?

Does the thought of dying fill you with alarm?
If your religious ask yourself why,
Do you believe death should never apply?
Are you worried Gods promises are a lie.

Bitter Harvest for Friend Corey

The seeds of death are planted by
men reckless of the consequence
They’re meant to kill the enemy.
But they can destroy innocence.

The warring factions have moved on.
Survivors try to till their land
convinced they’re safe that dangers gone.
They simply do not understand.

Land mines don’t differentiate
between a friend and enemy.
They have been armed and lie in wait
until exploding suddenly.

They are designed to kill and
and this they do impartially.
It’s difficult to name and blame
the authors of each tragedy.

The Yearly Lie

A merry Christmas? Prudent, as I live!
You wish me something that you need not give.

Merry or sad, what does it signify?
To you 't is equal if I laugh, or die.

Your hollow greeting, like a parrot's jest,
Finds all its meaning in the ear addressed.

Why 'merry' Christmas? Faith, I'd rather frown
Than grin and caper like a tickled clown.

When fools are merry the judicious weep;
The wise are happy only when asleep.

A present? Pray you give it to disarm
A man more powerful to do you harm.

'T was not your motive? Well, I cannot let
You pay for favors that you'll never get.

The Pilot

Time was when the sportsman, with chivalrous care,
Would find a safe line for his follower fair,
And clearing the double stiff-planted and strong ,
Would turn in his saddle to cheer her along.
But now we've for pilot a damsel astride
On a stud-book and blood one, determined to ride,
With an eye for a country and vowed to the van;
And the slow ones may keep her in sight if they can.
As she lashes along in the wake of the pack
Not a man need expect her to pause or look back,
And the laggards who ride on her resolute trail
Need not wait for her cheer over bullfinch or rail.
To those who may follow not hers to give heed
So long as no rival shall challenge her lead!
If she levels a gap, if she smashes a bar,
They may take it or leave it, whoever they are.
As she rips at her fences our ears she may shock
With the' Damn you, come up !' of the steeplechase jock;
Should we choose her picked panel, avoiding a worse,
We may find ourselves warned with a suitable curse.

Self denial is like self burial.

The middle age %

Women at forty are vulnerable.
Beware! Your estrogen levels are dropping.
Why not make the most of it right now?
Shyness has been shed; awkwardness has gone.
It is time for you to take the lead
When it comes to your own orgasm,
The orgasm that’s eluded you thus far,
From the monotony you stuck in.

You must reveal yourself in newfound youth.
You must assert yourself with newfound guts.
Yes, you must take the control of your sex.
If not, it is you who are the loser.
At this stage you are the most attractive.
Composure added, you are in glow.
As the sex is important part of the life,
Your assets unused must not go waste.
