Quotes about latch, page 5

Latch-key Lifted

Loose-leaf sheets in sparkling white
acquire an extra light tonight
draw inspiration, touch and taste
through thought waves which won’t run to waste.
Kaleidoscope of colours bright
opens up the heart’s delight.
latch-key lifted, interlaced
are letters, spilling in their haste,
overflowing to invite
reflections razor sharp which might
penetrate beyond time chased,
from fetters free, as words are placed...
Voyage through the poet’s lyre
as thought waves echo ever higher.

War Is War

Trapped in here with nothing to eat.
Trapped in here while my heart furiously beats.
A war, he said, so a war it is.
I can't keep safe while I'm doing my biz.
Get myself ready, open the latch.
All of my hopes go down the hatch.
Gunshot fires, I cry with pain.
A war is a war, there is no gain.
Here I am, bleeding arm.
Trying precisely just to keep calm.
Thinking back to when I was a young boy.
War was fun, nothing but toys.
But then it me once again.
A war is a war, there is no gain.

Surrender II

THE wild wind wails in the poplar tree,
I sit here alone.
O heart of my heart, come hither to me!
Come to me straight over land and sea,
My soul--my own!

Not now--the clock's slow tick I hear,
And nothing more.
The year is dying, the leaves are sere,
No ghost of the beautiful young crowned year
Knocks at my door.

But one of these nights, a wild, late night,
I, waiting within,
Shall hear your hand on the latch--and spite
Of prudence and folly and wrong and right,
I shall let you in.

Warmth Into Frost

When you ignore your Heart
all that you do will never be enough
When we don't pay attention
to the wordless thoughts
it ain't so tough
to get caught up
and latch onto irrelevent stuff
...and what's the cost - what's the cost?

When you're playin' high stakes
Gambling with Fakes
and the world takes
your Warmth that burns
and turns it cold
like a Frost...What's the cost?

What's the cost
when
it couldn't be clearer
that the one in the mirror

My Dreams, My Works, Must Wait Till After Hell

I hold my honey and I store my bread
In little jars and cabinets of my will.
I label clearly, and each latch and lid
I bid, Be firm till I return from hell.
I am very hungry. I am incomplete.
And none can give me any word but Wait,
The puny light. I keep my eyes pointed in;
Hoping that, when the devil days of my hurt
Drag out to their last dregs and I resume
On such legs as are left me, in such heart
As I can manage, remember to go home,
My taste will not have turned insensitive
To honey and bread old purity could love.

Just As Perceptions Have No Clarity

If they were not as quick to attack,
And latch onto comprehension...
To understand their dissensions,
Without becoming offended
By its appearance.
To mend and end them.
There would be less conflict,
And more tolerance...
Of which they prove there is none.
Just as perceptions have no clarity of depth...
They are left believing,
Their self righteousness trimmed with arrogance...
Is sought instead of rejected!
And this is defended.
Until a quality of life with its isolated inequities,
Ends!
Without a shred of truth pursued!

Deus ex Machina

She watches over us from the confines of space
Ethereal finger on the button if our faith gets misplaced
He guides our destiny and forgives us all our errors
Through visual reminders of his everlasting terrors
It knows our darkest hopes and fears and able to unlock if
Our prayers match the secret latch hidden in its logic
They dwell in all our hearts and minds w/LOLs and BFF
And grant us life to see the blind but act as if they’re deaf
She is Alpha. He is Omega. It can disappear.
But they will never ever die, as long as we are here

Out of Superstition

A box of glazed sour fruit compact,
My narrow room.
And oh the grime of lodging rooms
This side the tomb!

This cubbyhole, out of superstition,
I chose once more.
The walls seem dappled oaks; the door,
A singing door.

You strove to leave; my hand was steady
Upon the latch.
My forelock touched a wondrous forehead;
My lips felt violets.

O Sweet! Your dress as on a day
Not long ago
To April, like a snowdrop, chirps
A gay 'Hello!'

Home At Night

When chirping crickets fainter cry,
And pale stars blossom in the sky,
And twilight's gloom has dimmed the bloom
And blurred the butterfly:

When locust-blossoms fleck the walk,
And up the tiger-lily stalk
The glow-worm crawls and clings and falls
And glimmers down the garden-walls:

When buzzing things, with double wings
Of crisp and raspish flutterings,
Go whizzing by so very nigh
One thinks of fangs and stings:--

O then, within, is stilled the din
Of crib she rocks the baby in,
And heart and gate and latch's weight
Are lifted--and the lips of Kate.

Power-dom-cauchy3-again

Power-dom…
Deals are open with fail when safe.
Open and shut across our cases.
Hear to say the shapes of apples.
Little forms to beat as apes.

Surety gods are vice on apples.
Virgin got the pillow apexes.
Power-dom is god to able each.
Power-dom is good in earths.

Powers might are never- never.
Loves to all are never ever.
Gods have Keogh when all are short.
Leader works are spicy hot.

Clear errors invited the errors.
Power-dom is doomed t heroes.
Errors invited are late to latch.
Loves invited are sooner arms.
