Glenn Gould In Heaven Does Lament
Here the chipped ivory is only cloud.
The Instrument, too very old, is Archetype.
Strings of gold do not a music make.
A lyre presses sterilely into where once
was crotch.
Crotchless, music is useless here.
So am I. No one listens.
The only passion is the Christ's
and that's all passed.

Oft I Remember...
as i place my feet
in another country i step upon
an internet cafe
goggling upon a poem
inspired by the changes of the
of the situation
on some dreams of reforms
i start to compose another poem
for the wind
&
this i cannot forget
a man on the other side
loose tie and
unbuttoned shirt
on my left busies himself
with business receipts
encoding
sending them to his boss
perhaps

Humbling Habitat
The gray exhaust of twelve warm hearths
Chased the clouds into the afternoon sky.
There stood the stalwart mansion
At peace with its surroundings
And steadfast with its environs.
Beckoning an affectionate greeting
Just beyond the bridge, it appears
To give light the sublime levity
Of being a nuance of darkness.
Its façade is as prestigious and lucent
As a librarian’s bustline in her noblest estate.
Its walls of luminous windows
Sit still in a kinetic majesty of colors,
Like the yew tree in its bounty of crimson berries.
This refuge from the current disharmonies
Radiates from its midst an unheard music
And a conviviality suggesting a vicarious ecstacy.
Here, perhaps, is that first step in darkness
Of the empire prophesized to come,

Sundog Cataract
What seems sundog high by spry cataract
deserves a deeper look. Another light
reveals imagination's flow intact
Speed current echoes time's trip, clouds take flight
Waterfalls with dreams may interact
catalyze sense streams to spring insight
stimulate synaptic leaps spray backed
enhancing surf spill spells, responses bright
show space where cataract wraith-wracked
blinded with self-denial dark. Winged white
eddies fantastic, swirl-whirl, fears backtracked
ring confidence to share, bring twinned delight
Time riffles rift, strange spume fast sprays, gifts room
Rhyme ripples swift, change dooms past's plays, lifts gloom

More Than Enough to Give
I'm not in need to make love,
To know it.
I did make love and gave it.
And I don't regret heated moments missed,
Dripping in sweat after sex.
I'm not in need,
To make that kind of love,
To know it.
I'm not in need to make love,
To know it.
Everytime I feed to you,
And expression I am feeling...
It comes from love.
Every moment you are in my thoughts...
With an image brought into mind.
It comes from love.
Anytime I find I can be there,
With a message to deliver...

Aftermath
We overplayed and underplayed our parts
And paid the price; we went our separate ways
For me to think of you, and you of me
Some part of all our long and restless days.
For what advantage? We may never know,
We cloud each other's vision at the hearth,
I loved you well, but love was not enough
We neither paused to give the other breath.
Like people trapped behind the moving screen
We both replay our scenes, we freeze each frame
Of shrugs, of nuance, words of lost intent
We blurted out in anger all the same.
But anger rests, and now there's only loss
As keen for me as you, I must confess
If I could still regain the way I came -
But mist and chill obscure our waywardness.
We charmed and chafed each other in our turn,
We stormed and raged, and whispered words of love,

Butterfly, You Fly So Softly
Little butterfly
You fly so softly
You flutter your wings twice
In the blink of an eye
And catch a nuance of the Spring breeze
You float up, the air tilts you
I see your beauty as you fly near
Butterfly, you fly so softly
you make my heart skip a beat
and then it settlles down
and I feel blessed with serenity
Butterfly, you fly so softly
I fall in love with you a thousand times
Then you smile at me
With your perfect pearly smile
and I wish I could change shape
and fly by your side
Butterfly, you fly so softly
I imagine making love
And know I would not fall out of love

From Cataract to Enhanced Perceptions through Cataract
May what to some sunset on cataract
Appears at first sight, seen in other light
Unveils anticipation not the act -
Draws sunrise, current's flow, woe's clouds in flight.
Each waterfall dreams stimulates, intact
Catalyzes stream sense, springs insight.
One's neverneverland? Blend nuance backed?
Revealed enchantment spills surf's answers bright
Revealing zones where mist before seemed wracked
In doubt and self-denial. Surf's wings white,
Eddies fantastical, swirl-whirl fears backtracked,
Ripple confidence, key shared delight.
Answers riffle home, fresh foam may flow
Splicing known once sown with what tomorrows show...

My World Is Not Interesting After All
what you do not know yet
of course
is interesting and so
since you have not known
much of me
you find me
a subject
of interest
you keep on tracking me
like a path
that may lead you to
a certain
discovery, and you followed
me
religiously, and i
did not ask you to stop
or refuse
your insistence,
