Live
(e. rhodes)
Debbi
Know, you gotta know
Is that yourself or nothing at all
Oh, you think you live
Well how can you, when youre stuck in four walls
If you gotta go
You better live your life before you pass away
Dont waste a day
All your life youve been locked in you room
Youve never had a chance to roam
Away from home
So, you come and go
Well good day, dont waste anytime
Oh, your life today
Its all familiar, soon you will find
If you gotta go
You better live your life before you pass away
Dont waste a day
All your life youve been locked in you room

You're Amazing
Ain't no doubt about it, you're a masterpiece
You're amazing
Adrift at sea'til I saw your face
It's amazing
Anybodys guess - now it's guaranteed
Sent to seventh heaven in my hour of need
Baby baby baby you're amazing
Taken by surprise
Don't waste time tryin'to explain it
Can't believe my eyes
You changed my nights from black to blue
It's amazing
Ever since I fell in love with you
You're amazing
So far out of sight that it's like a dream
Beyond all imagining
But I believe
Baby baby baby you're amazing
Take me by surprise
Don't waste time, baby tryin'to explain it

Army Dreamers
B.f.p.o.*
Army dreamers.
Mammys hero.
B.f.p.o.
Mammys hero.
Our little army boy
Is coming home from b.f.p.o.
Ive a bunch of purple flowers
To decorate a mammys hero.
Mourning in the aerodrome,
The weather warmer, he is colder.
Four men in uniform
To carry home my little soldier.
What could he do?
Should have been a rock star.
But he didnt have the money for a guitar.
What could he do?
Should have been a politician.
But he never had a proper education.
What could he do?

The Spirit Of Discovery By Sea - Book The Fourth
Stand on the gleaming Pharos, and aloud
Shout, Commerce, to the kingdoms of the earth;
Shout, for thy golden portals are set wide,
And all thy streamers o'er the surge, aloft,
In pomp triumphant wave. The weary way
That pale Nearchus passed, from creek to creek
Advancing slow, no longer bounds the track
Of the adventurous mariner, who steers
Steady, with eye intent upon the stars,
To Elam's echoing port. Meantime, more high
Aspiring, o'er the Western main her towers
Th' imperial city lifts, the central mart
Of nations, and beneath the calm clear sky,
At distance from the palmy marge, displays
Her clustering columns, whitening to the morn.
Damascus' fleece, Golconda's gems, are there.
Murmurs the haven with one ceaseless hum;
The hurrying camel's bell, the driver's song,
Along the sands resound. Tyre, art thou fall'n?
A prouder city crowns the inland sea,

Enoch Arden
Long lines of cliff breaking have left a chasm;
And in the chasm are foam and yellow sands;
Beyond, red roofs about a narrow wharf
In cluster; then a moulder'd church; and higher
A long street climbs to one tall-tower'd mill;
And high in heaven behind it a gray down
With Danish barrows; and a hazelwood,
By autumn nutters haunted, flourishes
Green in a cuplike hollow of the down.
Here on this beach a hundred years ago,
Three children of three houses, Annie Lee,
The prettiest little damsel in the port,
And Philip Ray the miller's only son,
And Enoch Arden, a rough sailor's lad
Made orphan by a winter shipwreck, play'd
Among the waste and lumber of the shore,
Hard coils of cordage, swarthy fishing-nets,
Anchors of rusty fluke, and boats updrawn,
And built their castles of dissolving sand

Tirocinium; or, a Review of Schools
It is not from his form, in which we trace
Strength join'd with beauty, dignity with grace,
That man, the master of this globe, derives
His right of empire over all that lives.
That form, indeed, the associate of a mind
Vast in its powers, ethereal in its kind,
That form, the labour of Almighty skill,
Framed for the service of a freeborn will,
Asserts precedence, and bespeaks control,
But borrows all its grandeur from the soul.
Hers is the state, the splendour, and the throne,
An intellectual kingdom, all her own.
For her the memory fills her ample page
With truths pour’d down from every distant age;
For her amasses an unbounded store,
The wisdom of great nations, now no more;
Though laden, not encumber’d with her spoil;
Laborious, yet unconscious of her toil;
When copiously supplied, then most enlarged;
Still to be fed, and not to be surcharged.

Food Waste To Market
still in old Italy
20 million tones
spoils to market
more money paid
waste paid collected
paid in dump charges
can we not do better?
can we stop criminal waste?
can we end global hunger?
food waste to market
not just an Italian problem
crime waste a global problem?

Crying In The Shower My Friend
crying in the shower is such a waste of time
take away the shower and let us restructure the line
crying is such a waste of time
remove time and supply the proper word
crying is such a waste of
tears.
reserve your tears for some joys
i mean,
there is such thing
as tears of joy

Environmental Pollution
Environmental pollution
Is a collision of masses of waste particles
That requires an immediate solution
My heart saddens when I realise
There will come a time when all rainforests
Will turn to barren stretched marked lands
When rivers will be invaded by all weather pests
I wish we could plant a tree next door
Control the toxic waste released into our waters
Control the toxic waste released into our atmosphere
I despair and fear because I care
About what we breathe in from the air
Help! environmental pollution
Technological advancement has its negative sides
Smoke, smog & waste is mixing with carbon dioxide
Everyday toxic chemicals we are releasing
