Quotes about cluster, page 6

By Loe Pool

The pool glitters, the fishes leap in the sun
With joyous fins, and dive in the pool again;
I see the corn in sheaves, and the harvestmen,
And the cows coming down to the water one by one.
Dragon-flies mailed in lapis and malachite
Flash through the bending reeds and blaze on the pool;
Sea-ward, where trees cluster, the shadow is cool;
I hear a singing, where the sea is, out of sight;
It is noontide, and the fishes leap in the pool.

One Day A Hungry Fox

One day, a hungry fox,
Saw a high vineyard.
It was full of sweet grapes,
He might not have, he feared.

They were hanging in such
A height, that he jumped
And jumped, but couldn't get.
He had to remain starved,

Again he jumped, and jumped,
And went on jumping ever.
But all his efforts were in vain,
He failed to touch that cluster.

Being upset, he got angry
As he wasted his hour.
Before leaving out of pain,
He said--Grapes are very sour!

A Dirge

Why were you born when the snow was falling?
You should have come to the cuckoo's calling
Or when grapes are green in the cluster,
Or, at least, when lithe swallows muster
For their far off flying
From summer dying.

Why did you die when the lambs were cropping?
You should have died at the apples' dropping,
When the grasshopper comes to trouble,
And the wheat-fields are sodden stubble,
And all winds go sighing
For sweet things dying.

Mothers-of-the-evening

Their days in the sun are fulfilled.
Their once bright pink and white petals
now lie withered and brown beneath
the dead wavering naked stalks
that once connected each cluster.
Hesperis matronalis
Gone are their aromatic scents
that had tantalized all that passed
their many clustered colonies.
Gone are my nightly fragrant walks
among their unseen loveliness.
Gone with them are my joys of spring
and what remains are memories
of their fulfilling presence here.

Mad man

Lately i feel that i am going mad
A cluster of thoughts and emotions inhabit the inner sanctums of my mind
nothing is safe from the darkness
it has consumed almost everything
only a feint glimmer of hope still remains and yet it gets duller with every passing day
am i crazy, am i insane
or am i just like you, just like everyone else.
maybe I'm not crazy at all, perhaps your the one who is crazy, everyone is crazy.
Perhaps I'm the only person sane enough to understand it.

Acis and Galatea

Air.
Love in her eyes sits playing,
And sheds delicious death;
Love on her lips is straying,
And warbling in her breath;
Love on her breast sits panting,
And swells with soft desire;
Nor grace nor charm is wanting
To set the heart on fire.

Air.
O ruddier than the cherry!
O sweeter than the berry!
O Nymph more bright
Than moonshine night,
Like kidlings blithe and merry!

Ripe as the melting cluster!
No lily has such lustre;
Yet hard to tame

Now Tell Me

Now tell me
what evening romance
I must endure
to lust over this magnificent skyline
and euphoric vista
in the eye of the storm
there are grey clouds
haloed with glowing tints
luring the cluster of trees
and innocent brush of breeze
lull the mind
like a glass of red wine
stirring desire
to cry for more
I watch in awe
and crave this view will last
as long as the sky
wears new dresses everyday
matching the mood
in my being

Wasp Sting

A diabolic deed:
A pebble I pelted
At the hanging shelter
On the stem of plantain cluster:
Vengeance vapours; war clouds.

A smart wasp dared;
Sting of sting; I writhed:
Smouldering compunction;
Pricking tension;
I rubbed red forehead mine.

As a balloon tiny,
Blown with atrocity,
My forehead swelled:
Pang resolved
Never to trespass the insect kingdom.

A big foe retreated;
An act self pledged

Mindfulness

Somewhere, a Blue Flax cluster blooms.
Their beauty lasts but for a day
Then die in the sun unobserved.

Someplace, an old man lies dying
Alone in the dark with no one
To comfort and pray at his side.

Oftentimes I amble in fields
Searching for this blue wildflower;
And like Meriwether Lewis

I on occasion find the plant;
When I do, I quickly bundle
A large bouquet and head for home.

This time they are for my neighbor:
A man of eighty in poor health.
“Morning neighbor, have you a vase? ”

Careless Words

Careless words clutter the galaxy,
Chunky tales have no end to their galaxy;
Yet enchanted we stand in this tallness,
Dazzling and bright are the stars for us.

Dear prizes await the distinct, as the galaxy
Shall suffer from them from time to time,
Direful consequences await the suffered,
Much time depresses us while we slaughter.

Extra-large thoughts clutter our stars with pain,
Deranged mad brains cluster as stars
In this field of vision, in this dead space.
I see delight and delicious food in the stars.
