Child face
Did you ever see joy on child's face?
When some comment is passed over his race
Cast, creed, religion or for ugly appearance
At least parents have told her that it is blessed by chance
Children look so innocent in early stage
Their smile fascinate us with age
They may laugh at us and demand
Break any costly things and loudly play the band
"Hi, how come your teeth have gone? "
The question was parried but some damage was done
The child was smart enough to reply with smile
"The teeth have made room for new style"
Some of the children may shy off and run away
They will cover face but not show it any way
This is an age where you can expect funny answers
Some of them may speak with language that can be understood by few

Aurobindo 129 Savitri Book 9
An appreciation on Savitri-
Book Nine: The Book of Eternal Night
Canto One: Towards the Black Void
Words within inverted commas are Aurobindo's
Ho, look, how bittered the God of Death..
''Thy passionate influence and relax, O slave
Of Nature, changing tool of changeless Law,
Who vainly writh'st rebellion to my yoke,
Thy elemental grasp; weep and forget.'
'weep and forget'...as a common folk does
Did it suit Savitri? no, she pursued..
'Entomb thy passion in its living grave.'
'Leave now the once-loved spirit's abandoned robe:
Pass lonely back to thy vain life on earth.'
How easily said He..but Savitri was exceptional
For she the god-child..and she in Thy words Guru, marvelous
'It ceased, she moved not, and it spoke again, '
'Wilt thou for ever keep thy passionate hold,

Individuality
Ah yes, I love you, and with all my heart;
Just as a weaker woman loves her own,
Better than I love my beloved art,
Which, until you came, reigned royally, alone,
My king, my master. Since I saw your face
I have dethroned it, and you hold that place.
I am as weak as other women are –
Your frown can make the whole world like a tomb
Your smile shines brighter than the sun, by far;
Sometimes I think there is not space or room
In all the earth for such a love as mine,
And it soars up to breathe in realms divine.
I know that your desertion or neglect
Could break my heart, as women’s hearts do break;
If my wan days had nothing to expect
From your love’s splendour, all joy would forsake
The chambers of my soul. Yes this is true.
And yet, and yet – one thing I keep from you.

Thunderbolt
I am the result of a thunderbolt,
That struck and stayed bold.
I am that result of a thunderbolt.
I'm that thunderbolt staying bold.
I'm the result of a thunderbolt,
That struck and stayed bold.
I am that result of a thunderbolt.
I'm that thunderbolt that remained bold.
You may decide to run and hide.
But I've learned throughout my life...
Those who run let life slip by,
And cry in denial.
Setting themselves up...
For struggles and trials.
When I was young I was often hushed,
I would question too much.
With unedited questions asked.

The Refracting
I could reach out with one hand,
Mauve-hued in dusk’s shadows, and
Grasp the moon with my fingertips.
If I could reach beyond a rainbow, if
One could be found,
Perhaps I could even capture some ethereal star.
If I am to remain a part of this world,
Or some sort of its messenger, I must
Keep myself safe in hiding, for
The earth has been shattered where my feet were once
Steadfast- edifices are crumbling, and
Falling, falling and falling into a bloodbath.
Seared flesh of carrion and ogling eyes of the living dead
Surround burning tenements destroyed by
Earthquakes emanating from meteors afire-
Destitute and homeless I stand drenched, soaked and demolished,
By the pounding drizzle of acid rain.
My inner child is searching and groping for love, comfort and humility-
Perhaps if I could somehow find my way beyond a rainbow, and
Touch its glass-like surface, inside, my pent up rage

Death
I have been gazing on the resting place
Of the cold sleepers of the earth—who trod
This busy planet for a little space,
Then laid them down, and took the verdant sod
To curtain the low cot wherein they slept,
Forgotten save by some few hearts that o'er them wept.
'T is strange—so lately they were living forms,
Breathing and moving; now the vernal sun
Looks down upon their silent graves, nor warms
One pulse to action—life with them is done;
And the turf blooms as quietly, as though
No forms of human mould were slumbering below.
And this shall be my lot!—a little while,
And I shall, too, lie down and be at rest,
In silence and in darkness; earth will smile
In spring's rich garniture, and o'er my breast
The wild-flower shed its sweets—but there will be
No gladness in bright hues or fragrant breath for me.

Autumn
I have let go of time,
I have let days disappear and
As I walk down this pathway of life
For a brief moment
I have become a child again-
Not knowing where to run to or
How to evade misconceptions,
I do know that there are trees
Behind which to hide and even fortresses in the air-
Memories of my childhood, seeing what others did not see,
Being forever slighted and misunderstood,
Memories of my empty heart and these memories I cannot escape.
I often ask myself why these recollections of fear, sadness and mistrust
Have become a branch upon a tree that
Will not break and blow away in a windstorm and
More recent recurrences which others have
Deemed as impressive and worthwhile have
Vanished perhaps high in the sky as
Riding upon a shooting star that has burnt out in the universe-
I have let days disappear although not

Let Us Magnify a Glorious Destiny
'Your peace is not in my vision.
Nor are your discomforts,
In my grasp to hold.
Or become burdened with despair...
You have been taught were yours to behold,
To share.
My radar is in my control!
I see no gain,
In maintaining your shame to claim...
For barter!
My desires may not spark your flame.
But yearnings to burn down barriers...
We might together do,
If together we remain bold!
And step farther beyond restrictions.
To undo what we've been told!
In a patient stagnation.
Let us magnify a glorious destiny...
That you and I can both touch,
And together see.'

Work In Progress - Fragment 4
in the autumn sunshine
we found it empty
the answer we knew
was not then discovered
picking through the debris
the day confounded us
until footsteps of memory
reared an opinion
we all entrap pilgrimage
but Bunyan was out
the scenery of passing
caused illusions to falter
the moot hall erupted
the market green stretched
the journey became unsure
the shrine was lost
while groping for themes
a swollen oak bole

One Heart Feels Finger
One heart feels finger tapping
deep spring of wisdom wide,
one heart feels finger mapping
bright spirit from inside,
One heart beat’s finger beckons
beyond both time and space,
one heart one finger reckons
calm, balm and saving grace.
One heart, one finger, giggle
together in traced hug,
each interlaced reach wriggle
as snug as bug in rug.
One heart with finger sharing
unbroken hopes and trust
one heart on finger wearing
fair token of shared lust.
