Quotes about rally, page 6

Love From Trees

Cut into pieces and spread
over the thoughts,
Love demands to be no longer
dead, stagnant and diluted.
Trees can now be
travelling inside the head.
If you see them with pupils
you can hate.
The brain is hated like mice
needing no beautiful tree.
Hungry mice rally and festoon
the place of the trees.
My love is dilute now.

Song Intended To Have Been Sung In 'She Stoops To Conquer

AH me! when shall I marry me?
Lovers are plenty; but fail to relieve me:
He, fond youth, that could carry me,
Offers to love, but means to deceive me.

But I will rally, and combat the ruiner:
Not a look, not a smile shall my passion discover:
She that gives all to the false one pursuing her,
Makes but a penitent, loses a lover.

Power Of Vigour

Vigour
If
Triggered
With forces
Of rigour
Path
One traverses
Can't be figured
Friends and foes
Quiver
On seeing him
Achieve
Hither and thither

Hither and thither
Rally some
Others
In abundance
Dither
To break the shell

Ruined By Sitting

Do you discard the ruins of sitting?
Let us walk hand-in-hand down the river Nile,
Like centipedes or milestones, whatever.
This learned man is wise as well,
Judge him by his intellect as if to magnify.
Rally support from afar, busy butane,
Opening doors to the world of tricks.
So pronounce the letters in my heart
So that by doing this you keep a learning.

Never Be Permitted to Sit or Take a Sniff

Some are selected to see and digest.
While others believe,
They are here to correct what's on the menu.
To decide what they will be served next.

And if the taste is not to their liking,
They rally to hire a new cook.
With a loud protest.
Instead of accepting,
They are powerless to elect...
What has been chosen to be most effective.

And not debated,
To be inspected as wished...
By those who will never be permitted,
To sit or take a sniff in the kitchen!

Poverty Is A Curse.

It is the deadliest valley,
And poverty is the burden they carry,
slender is the path, for Just is their rally,
Their wish and ruler's will, does vary.

Poverty is the wound ever bleeding,
And its color is weak and pale,
Cure is expensive, so still bleeding,
And to laugh at, it is put on sale.

Their plight is never ever answered,
yet, wish was it as easy as to powder the tea,
They take a sip of tea and let it go unanswered,
In dark everything disappears but Poverty.

Word Association Exercise

Moon - Glow - Worm - Grave - DEATH

Rose- Thorn - Cut - Bleed - DEATH

Dove - Peace - Rally - Riot - DEATH

Telephone - Conversation - Preservation - Fallacy - DEATH

Hospital - Disinfectant - Panic - Pain -DEATH

Sorry, folks, this is no joke,
if you're looking for laughs
read Ogden Nash.

(This actually was a word association exercise set by my poetry course tutor.I was surprised how it turned out.I must have been having 'one of those days' - it's not meant to be taken seriously) .

Locked

Stealing stones from skinny faces
snipers scratch the colors
of a withered moon at night.

It was anti-rape rally, the footsteps
falling in unison, the blood running out
of strange fruits

and we topple the golden grass under
the toes, hissing at tall trees who could
not protect us from descending fog.

There was no truce. They will not
lay down the arms on table before
sun rises to resuscitate.

The pilot has died on controls. Snarled-up
fingers will not let go the wheels.
The pain has no other name.

Craven-Heart

Those anguished voices in the air!
Oh, I could shriek and tear my hair
In rage, rebellion and despair.

But what is one, amid a throng
So vast and merciless and strong,
To make attempt to right the wrong?

What ear would hear me if I cried?
And who would rally to my side?
What could I do to stem the tide?

Though I should plunge in flood and flame,
And suffer every shame and blame,
The world would triumph all the same.

I am not called upon to pay.
So why join in the hopeless fray,
And waste my brief and precious day?

Cost of justice

The command and the commissioner
The presidency and cabinet
Parliament and judicial committee
Judges and lawyer and prothonotary
National Prosecution Authority
Are all the cost of justice

Run round around rally
There’s no truth about you
You are motley
The justice that hide criminal
Justice that decorate crime
Showing it off like Vuvuzela at the stadium

Money is their lawyer
Position is their judgement
Bail is their imprisonment
Poor can’t afford bail
Innocent are behind the bars
Victim strike with the cost of justice
