If You Had Any Compassion For Yourself
If you had any compassion for yourself,
others wouldn't have to suffer for you
and the world wouldn't show you
such a sad, woeful, wounded face.
You wouldn't see the withering leaves
and petals of the rose in autumn
as merely the scar tissue of its thorns.
In winter, mend your severance.
In spring, attend to your joys.
Like fishing nets and snow fences.
Like delphiniums in a garden bed
that's beginning to bloom like a starmap.
And you know that stranger inside
that's always witnessing everything we do
like a perfectly clear mirror, even in dreams?
Take another look, you might be surprised
at whose face you see at a meeting of eyes.
It's important not to pass judgement on yourself

Supernova
I have looked all over the place
But you have got my favorite face
Your eyelashes sparkle like gilded grass
And your lips are sweet and slippery like a cherubs bare wet ass
Cause youre a human supernova
A solar superman
Youre and angel with wings afire
A flying, giant friction blast
You walk in clouds of glitter and the sun reflects your eyes
And every time the wind blows I can smell you in the skies
Your kisses are as wicked as an m-16
And you come like a volcano, and youre everything to me
Cause youre a human supernova
A solar superman
Youre an angel with wings afire
A flying, giant friction blast....

Solar Driftwood
The Big Bang.
The ultimate hero of low frequency. The divine intergalactical bass drum connecting
the tribes of our solar system.
If we could communicate from our tiny piece of solar driftwood into another galaxy
what would we say?
We can send out pictures, symbols, chemical formulas or language.
The magic of music is a sign of consciousness that could be understood on far-flung
worlds millions of lightyears from our horizon.
Music is an interstellar language from a highly insignificant planet one of nine in
our system which sails through time and space till the next one, the next inevitable
Big Bang...

Space Truckin
We had a lot of luck on venus
We always had a ball on mars
Meeting all the groovey people
Weve rocked the milky way so far
We danced around with borealice
Were space truckin round the the stars
Come on lets go space truckin
Remember when we did the moonshot
And pony trekker led the way
Wed move to the canaveral moonstop
And everynaut would dance and sway
We got music in our solar system
Were space truckin round the stars
Come on lets go space truckin
The fireball that we rode was moving
But now weve got a new machine
Yeah yeah yeah yeah the freaks said
Man those cats can really swing
They got music in their solar system
Theyve rocked around the milky way

Stash
Im pulling the pavement from under my nails
I brush past a garden, dependent on whales
The sloping companion I cast down the ash
Yanked on my tunic and dangled my stash
Zipping through the forest with the curdling fleas
To grow with them spindles, the mutant I seize
I capture the dread beast who falls to his knees
And cries to his cohorts, asleep in the trees
Smegma, dogmatagram, fishmarket stew
Police in a corner, gunnin for you
Appletoast, bedheated, furblanket rat
Laugh when they shoot you, say
Please dont do that
Control for smilers cant be bought
The solar garlic starts to rot
Was it for this my life I sought?
Maybe so and maybe not (maybe so and maybe not) [4x]
Was it for this my life I sought? (maybe so and maybe not)

Apogee
Sailing round the true-blue sphere---
Is it too late to bale out of here?
Well, there has to be some better way
To turn back the night,
Spin on to yesterday.
The old man and his crew---
After all these years,
Its apogee.
Pilot training and remorse---
Spirit friends fly too,
At apogee.
Apogee --- solar bright.
Apogee --- through the night.
Apogee --- overground.
Dont think Ill be coming down.
Screened for a stable mate
With nerves of ice we flew,
At apogee.
No creativity allowed
To pass through stainless veins of steel,

Vision of Columbus – Book 3
Now, twice twelve years, the children of the skies
Beheld in peace their growing empire rise;
O'er happy realms, display'd their generous care,
Diffused their arts and soothd the rage of war;
Bade yon tall temple grace the favourite isle.
The gardens bloom, the cultured valleys smile,
The aspiring hills their spacious mines unfold.
Fair structures blaze, and altars burn, in gold,
Those broad foundations bend their arches high,
And heave imperial Cusco to the sky;
From that fair stream that mark'd their northern sway,
Where Apurimac leads his lucid way,
To yon far glimmering lake, the southern bound,
The growing tribes their peaceful dwellings found;
While wealth and grandeur bless'd the extended reign,
From the bold Andes to the western main.
When, fierce from eastern wilds, the savage bands
Lead war and slaughter o'er the happy lands;
Thro' fertile fields the paths of culture trace,
And vow destruction to the Incan race.

Beyond Motion
I am wondering why,
Charm is in short supply,
So please sweet valentine,
Open your heart sometime,
Redeem the fading dream,
By making love supreme.
I must profusely confess,
You make me breathless,
For all I have to do,
Is look straight at you,
Then I’m lost in your eyes,
Left floating in blue iris skies.
A special affinitive notion,
Has taken me far beyond motion,
Kickstarting love’s heartcore source,
Generating my life force,
So pull the power ripcord,
To be completely adored.
