Byron

Canto the Fourth

I
Nothing so difficult as a beginning
In poesy, unless perhaps the end;
For oftentimes when Pegasus seems winning
The race, he sprains a wing, and down we tend,
Like Lucifer when hurl'd from heaven for sinning;
Our sin the same, and hard as his to mend,
Being pride, which leads the mind to soar too far,
Till our own weakness shows us what we are.

II
But Time, which brings all beings to their level,
And sharp Adversity, will teach at last
Man, -- and, as we would hope, -- perhaps the devil,
That neither of their intellects are vast:
While youth's hot wishes in our red veins revel,
We know not this -- the blood flows on too fast;
But as the torrent widens towards the ocean,
We ponder deeply on each past emotion.

Tour

Near a shrine in Japan he'd swept the path
and then placed camellia blossoms there.

Or -- we had no way of knowing -- he'd swept the path
between fallen camellias.

Dark and light.

Am i here
or am i there.
A wind swept beach
or the open air.
Dark and cold
snow and ice.
The repper calls
death the price.
Am i here
or there again.
A wind swept beach
or an open plane..

Time is a sort of river of passing events, and strong is its current; no sooner is a thing brought to sight than it is swept by and another takes its place, and this too will be swept away.

Pablo

pablo swept
i am by your lines
of love and sea
so full of life and...life

i would commit
all crimes of writing
to send to you
this posthumous ode
full of superlatives

this heart is caught
like a fish in a net
gasping for water
....for your words

your magic
draws me like
bees to nectare

Concepts Of Totalitarianism

Quietly swept in unsuspecting steps,
Towards concepts of totalitarianism.
With an autocratic rule set.
Leaving all freedoms deluded and state control.
As mindsets are kept bigoted and racist,
To ensure the onset of divisions...
Patrolled by those uniformed in camouflage.
Quietly swept in unsuspecting steps,
But observed as this feeding is accepted.

The poem of no return

She walks in a trace
The trace swept by feet

A young water pours down
The drops by the road
She’s drinking drinking
The well of living thirst

A young rain pours down
The drops into hands
She’s watching watching
The mirror of the water

A young river flows
By willows asleep
She’s sleeping sleeping
‘Neath unfaithful sky

She walks in a trace
The trace swept by feet

A Bright Sky

I walk down the beach in the beaming sun,
My feet sink into the sand, gently,
My hair is swept backwards as the warm breeze hits it,
Suddenly I turn around and everything is opposite,
My hair is swept backwards as the cool breeze hits it,
I feel as though I walk above the sand,
And I walk back down the beach in the night,
I look up and all I can see is darkness,
The night sky is lit by the moon and the stars,
It’s a bright sky.

Sunny Day Upon Sunny Day

While sunny day upon sunny day
is swept away
and life goes on in its age-old clutter
with beggars in the gutter

some people are full of laughter,
are celebrating to the day after
and to others have no pity
while they are happy and pretty

and so life still goes on,
with every passing day that is gone,
while from the time of birth
the days of man go back to the earth,

while sunny day upon sunny day
is swept away
and life goes on in its age-old clutter
with beggars in the gutter.
