My Desire
I like to make this world
A better place to live;
I like to take God’s word
To people and love give.
I like to show all men
That triumphs truth alone;
I like to say, ‘Brethren,
Our living God isn’t stone! ’
I like to prove God’s love
Is more than what we need;
I like to fly the dove
Of peace, joy, good deed.
I like to bestow joy
On whomever I see;
I like to be a toy
In Hand of God afree.

Song on Divine Love
There cannot be a love,
More steadfast than Thine!
There cannot be a God,
More loving than mine!
Lord Jesus Christ who died
On the cross for us,
Redeemed sinners on earth,
Giving heaven's bliss!
O let me give thanks, praise
To Lord God Most high!
Let me ask pardon, grace,
Before I must die!
For, Jesus is my friend
Until the world's end;
He will judge all mankind,
My life, I'll amend!

What’s Holy Matrimony (Marriage) ?
A carriage divine,
With earthly wheels unequal,
Plying on mundane terrain of all kinds,
With varying speeds,
Pulled by horses of virtues,
Driven by mutual love, will-power and forgiveness.
It holds just spouses two,
Of opposite sex,
To start with;
And children join with time,
Adding more joy and woes,
With wavering harmony,
Set to go towards heaven,
But if callous,
Could turn hell-bound!

When a Birthday Comes
A birthday comes just once a year-
A day God-given to rejoice;
A day, they greet, ones near and dear;
A day to celebrate its joys!
A birthday is a joyful day-
A day to remember in life;
A day to walk in heaven’s way;
A day to kiss and hug your wife!
A birthday means kindness of God-
An earthly span of one year gone;
A time to pray and thank the Lord,
For fondly adding one more morn!

Happy Marriage Anniversary
United were two hearts,
Before one, living God,
As husband and his wife,
For rest of earthly life.
And then, they bore a child
That gave them joy so wild;
’Tis better that souls two,
Their Christian duties do;
If one happens to fall,
The other helps it stall.
So, love your spouse whole-heartedly;
And live God’s way unitedly!
In Jesus Christ, the road to Heav’n
Is easy, straight and quite even!

Man’s Wasted Pelf
Man squanders money in space;
Man puts big sums in futile wars;
Man wastes huge amounts to kill;
Man wastes big sums to get an easy thrill!
Man spends a lot in abortions;
Man spends for keeping vices alive;
Man wastes time to earn ill-got wealth;
Man has no time to keep his health!
And coffers remain empty;
Tax-money goes down the drain;
Budget is pilfered for kick-backs;
And debts keep mounting up steeply.

Praying Mantis
The praying mantis hardly prays!
By camouflage, it takes its preys;
It hunts insects that fly all days;
A carnivore, it always stays!
Its eyes see well for sixty feet!
It lives on branches green to eat;
Sometimes, its color looks like wheat;
It turns its neck full circle neat.
The female kills the male in sex;
Big ones can eat a frog and vex;
They are not poisonous at all;
They climb quite fast a tree or wall!

Priorities in Sense of Values in Life
To me, my God is prime;
God-given health is wealth;
My knowledge stands up next;
My priceless time is best.
To seek God is my aim;
To love Him, serve Him first;
To love my neighbor next;
To nurture virtues best.
To go by God's tenets;
To heed to conscience;
To respect natural laws;
To procreate with love.
To shun evil off mind;
To fill my heart with love;
To make earth, paradise;
To enter heaven's gates!

Steps
Each house has steps of various types,
And numbers, leading to its door;
We leave our foot-wear and walk in,
As tradition demands us so.
And there are steps to temples too,
Especially those built on hills;
We do most things in steps in life;
But walk, we must in Lord’s footsteps!
Our spiritual life has steps to make;
We cannot take a nap at all;
The door to heaven has no steps,
And so also, the fall to hell!

Teacher’s Day (in acrostic)
Teaches and trains even the worst pupil
Ever ready to help the student in troubled times
Allows students to nurture their talents
Chides and punishes justly
Held in high esteem
Exemplary and encouraging
Remembers the pupil, forgets the name
’Selflessly serves society to the best of his/ her ability
Defends the weaker students against the robust
Advises appropriately
Yields to the highly intelligent student
