Quotes about genes, page 8
The Seed And The Fruit
sometimes the seed
wonders
after it has seen its fruit
if the same
has come from it
sometimes the fruit
is more luscious
sweet and
crunchy,
well loved and
sought, and
expensively priced
than what the seed
has expected
for all we know,
mortals as we
nature also makes

Reptilian Genes
It knows it bites.
But unaware it poisons.
It knows it victimizes.
But unsure why it is despised.
Reptilian genes it has.
And dangerous to anyone it passes.
It slithers and hisses...
Strikes and leaves.
Doing this as it was taught.
It does what it believes.
And guilt it feels not.
Or an empathy for blood it sees...
Dripping!

War Wound
My father's wounds were real to me
His life holding very little of hypocrisy
If genes tell the story
His love of ice cream is mine
As well as capacity love things beautiful
His war is gone and mine as well
But I remember his war wound
A story he could only partially tell
That stood in the peculiar isolation of non-repetition.

Epidemic
Men, unprepared, tremble
in scared confrontation
with nightmares no nation
now dares to dissemble.
Protesters assemble,
unconscious of station,
beware explanation,
aware it resembles
a plague. So they tremble
and in consternation
seek some consolation...
while earthworms assemble...
Still scientists tremble
as genes reassemble.

Proper Genes
To find the property we are possessing
Is a huge treasure, a lot of readdressing.
My fortune is still in the chest of drawers,
Like the man who faces his gnawers.
Proper genes are property of men and women
Who dislike the awkward fruits of eradication.
This treasure in the home is a swinging hammer
On the solid and created men of glamour.

Their style is shoed...
Their style is shoed
Counting genes
To separate males and females
Simply to devise their fancy
At the cost of my feet..
Modern girls
Easily fascinated illusorily
And when I was shoed
Into that illusory style
Priced four thousand rupees
A middle-class conservative
Was booted with a costly kick
Torn apart was my heart...
My tears or your lure at the modernity..?

Witches Chant
Evening sighs with warlocks
Vapors of the coming bedlam
Punished like eyes of the nephilim
Born in test tubes
Contrived in Frankenstein incubators
Crossed with spider genes
Bitten by tarantulas
Severed into carbon oxide fairies
Wrestle with black figures
Tongues of snakes
Wet with swamp semen
Ghosts wanting warm bodies
Closets with eyes
Witches chant

My wisdom
I am not original by myself.
I am a copy of my parents.
Grandparents have lent theirs.
I have got ancestral genes.
I am not exclusive by force.
There is wind to blow,
Earth to resist, heat to beat
And water to flow, around me.
My success is not mine alone.
His failure is not his alone.
My ego must understand this.
My wisdom should vouch for this.

Xulon
Small things were
witness to genes
of freak mutation.
Tooth in eye
becoming boat in blindness.
Witch hazel
fails to stop leakage.
Thumb with beads of lymph
stung high in stillness,
wants to peel off
the concept of injury.
A brace
stops the smile.
Blue-chips have nothing to offer.
A king had hemophilia.
Timbers drip the blood
from heartwood
dropp by drop.

O Lovely One
In the end is a prize so exact and demanding,
This event can kill everybody, as one is able.
The life of a thousand lovers reacts to loving souls,
Their generation beguiles the generations.
The wishes of the people are outstanding,
Genes shall appal and make you qualify.
The loving individual appals nobody but himself,
Himself, it is Himself that He loves more than love itself.
