Lips of Greed

I had no idea how thick their lips of greed were!
I just 'assumed' everyone was making a fashion statement.

'Where have you been?
Greed has been all over the news for years.'

So has botox and lip injections.

'Wait a minute!
I thought you said you had been bitten by a 'wasp'! '

I was!
It was the same one who did the injections and the botox.
For thousands.
And I mean THOUSANDS.

'Is that how you managed to lose so much weight?
Because your lips had become so huge?
I didn't want to say anything before.
But your lips are noticeably gigantic.'

To Prove Pointless Ends

For the betterment of humanity.
Not greed are we here!
We are to exceed temptations allowed to breed.
Not to curse those who bleed,
The Earth of its resources.
And deny rights of those to live in peace...
While a thieving of such greed takes place,
On lands which are breeched by leechers.

Pilfered by creeps and crooks of all nations!
Misunderstanding...
They do,
Their misdeeds that lead them to suffer.
To introduce their own agonized methods.
Used to infuse upon themselves sorrow.
Battling in wars against the 'spirits'
To seek a mindless victory!
Fought to receive...
The spreading of death and grief!

The Eyes of Greed

We moved ahead, one thing on our mind,
Though I was sure we were unalike,
Although our goal remained the same,
I saw us as two, as seperate as can be,

A bright awakening, a glimpse of our desire,
Light danced around us, illuminating our path,
His eyes flashed violently, a sure sign of his intentions,
Ignorant, I progressed, supressing the doubt in my mind,

And there it was, so radiant, so pure,
It called out to us, tempting our desire,
The sound of longing, seduction, that of greed,
It yearned to be found, to be used, to consume,

A shadow crossed his face,
His veil was removed,
I looked into his eyes and saw it, my fears confirmed,
The selfish desire of greed,

Without The Money

It is always the economy,
Affecting needs.
Always it is!
And not one's education...
Flaunted as perceived.

It is always the economy,
That breathes and feeds on greed.
And no matter if one goes to college...
It is not the Masters or Doctorate degree,
That keeps one perched...
High on a pedestal for all to see.

Without the money,
All pretensions can be dropped.
Oh without that money,
All the bragging seems to stop.
And it is without money...
No one talks about what they've got.
Or fingerpops with a bee-bop hopped.

2010 - A Year for Peace & Goodwill

A new year dawns as many before,
will 2010 bring what we ask for?
A peaceful future that all can share
with the wealthy showing that they care?

In my hopes as ever that would be the plan
for without compassion what distinguishes man?
We may have tools and brains to embrace
technologies to help the human race

But if those minds just persue all with greed
then we ignore those with more pressing need
For food and water would be such a gift
and a lack of greed could heal the rift

None have the right to just take and take
leaving nowt but dust in their hasty wake
To hold aloft their faith in that one supreme being
is an empty gesture for many without true feeling

Once A Place Of Natural Beauty

Once a place of natural beauty for all to be enjoyed
Due to the financial greed of developers the park has been destroyed
Most of the trees shelter for the ringtail and brush tail possums have been cut away
It is an ugly sight that I do gaze upon today.

Huge mounds of earth and clay dug up by bulldozers an ugly sight to see
The destruction of natural habitat for development does seem all wrong to me
The birds and tree dwelling animals need every bush and tree
The financial greed of the wealthy few give rise to Nature's poverty.

The money hungry developers they do not understand
That you render most of the local wildlife homeless when you take from them their land
That in their fights for new territories many of them will die
These are known facts I speak of and facts do never lie.

Just mounds of earth and white clay where beauty did reside
Most of the birds and animals who lived here through dispossession would have died
The destruction of their natural habitat to extinction only lead
For many of Nature's birds and animals losing out to human greed.

Cheapness Fed the Greed

A cheapness fed the greed.
Until the addictions of those greedy soared.
Few predicted the cheapness would increase...
And left the price of it ignored.
Without a noticable decrease.

As those who produced the cheapness knew...
Demand for what they had would grow.
They made the price for this commodity more expensive.
And watched those of greed,
Plead to lower a cheapness known...
When a quality of life loved and overblown,
Would eventually have them all on their knees in groans!

To suffer like passengers riding tightly in the backseat...
Enjoying the view.
But unaware of what those saw coming towards them,
From the front!
A gaping hole would swallow them.
One they did not wish to confront!

The Needy, The Greedy

This weight in the world
Balanced in paper
One side falls asleep
Dreaming of what they want
The other side
Dreaming of what they need

Existence demeaning
Nothing For filling
They see what they want
Considering no one
The need, the Greed

Living in the Material World
For the Material Boys & Girls
Isn't all that it seems
Knowledge of nothing
Respect lingering
Comfort exceeding

Nature's Beauty Being Destroyed

They know little of life and even less of Nature though they have what matters most
And that is heaps of money something worthy of a boast
For money speaks every language as some are known to say
That's how it is and will remain in the World of today.

Mature trees to them are just trees for development for to be cut down
For to build another industrial estate in the outskirts of the town
In their greed for money if wildlife they dispossess they do not even care
Of how Nature works and of Nature's ways people like them unaware.

Nature's beauty being destroyed by those with greed for money and power and that does seem sad to say
And those with heaps of money it does seem never fail to have their way
If they loved Nature more than self gain and power a better World it would surely be
To them another creature is expendable and a tree is just a tree.

Climate change is rampant in the World from north to southern shore
And Nature who has many friends of enemies seem to have more
Our price it may be too high to pay for the stupidity of human greed
In this time of global warming and climate change this is something we do not need.

Those of The Crumpets and Tea Party

Representing heartily,
Are those of the crumpets and tea party.
Those of greed and suppressors of rights...
And consumed with self righteousness,
To believe successful theft...
Should be kept in their sight.

In an uproar over spending,
That the government attempts to prevent.
This movement is relentless...
In showing their contempt.

Although they've acquired wealth,
By denying others to gain.
They refrain from being labelled racists.
Preferring 'conservative' names.

Conducting protests,
To keep their greed digested.
They wish to continue their interests...
