Far From Where I Am/ Life Goes On Elsewhere

FAR FROM WHERE I AM/

Far from where I am
Life goes on elsewhere
I am in my own small world
There is Beauty here too

But the lights of the distance call
And I cannot follow them.
Small is all for one who
Like a snail cannot see
The broom of the balcony
he will soon be brushed off.

Aliens In Spirit

I am passing through the Valley of Tears but,
Smooth as butter are the words of your mouth;
And your beauty shall be consumed in the grave one day.

Aliens in spirit,
And like a snail melting in the sun without love;
But be exalted to what you have because,
Your traps are like the venom of serpents in the bush.

Two ibises

Sounding their horns harshly
two ibises rise from the lawn,
rise from their snail pecking
with hard big wings

slapping against the rainy air,
but neck on neck
keeping to straight formation
stretching out lifting into the wind

again they shriek at the barking dog
before swinging in flight
to a new direction.

Lost In The Laughter

the shell of a snail
long since departed....
ghosts whisper, cannot touch!

layers of anger
devouring from within,
till nothing is left but dust.

flesh cries out for flesh,
old or young, doesnt matter.
water seeks itself, stone is stone.

a lover, a small fire
too far away to name....
and God's face is lost

in the laughter!

Lewis Thomas

We pass the word around; we ponder how the case is put by different people, we read the poetry; we meditate over the literature; we play the music; we change our minds; we reach an understanding. Society evolves this way, not by shouting each other down, but by the unique capacity of unique, individual human beings to comprehend each other.

Who's that reaping/Ko to zanje

Who's that reaping
Who's that reaping
The fields of white
The silent boughs
Who is touching alone

That snail without house
It came to dwell
A nakedness squatted
Under heavy eyebrows

ko to žanje
ko to žanje
bijele njive
tiho granje
ko dotice sam

taj puž bez kucice
dode da stanuje
ispod tecih vijeda

Justice

justice allegedly is not arrogant
when it proclaims that
no stone shall be left
unturned
neither is it so inefficient
to take the pacing of
a snail

how do you like a blind
woman to decide your murder case?

how unupdated is the sword?
how rusty are the scales?

and how long can the hands of time
stop the moldy motion of madness?

Let Us Win The Game

Voicemail, E-Mail and Snail mail;
Let peace reign and let love arise!
For the High-IQ Signals and the High-IQ Powers are here,
And like busy signals everywhere in this world.
As cold as the ice and as hot as the sun!
As lovely as the moon and as sweet as your muse;
We only want the goals in any match so,
Put it into the net and let us win the game! !

Lonely days

A final no in the flex of life
Making love without sex in life

I did it dear with you in mind
You made it easy for me to find

Your faults were my faults
My wounds you did salt

Like a snail on trail on the trail to death
So soften the blow
And allow mother nature to go one step further

Allow her to nurture my ego so butchered
A final yes in the life we flex

Once More, the Round

What's greater, Pebble or Pond?
What can be known? The Unknown.
My true self runs toward a Hill
More! O More! visible.

Now I adore my life
With the Bird, the abiding Leaf,
With the Fish, the questing Snail,
And the Eye altering All;
And I dance with William Blake
For love, for Love's sake;

And everything comes to One,
As we dance on, dance on, dance on.
