Quotes about swoop, page 8
A summers day of bliss.
In the summer I sit on my swing listening,
just listening to everything I could
possibly hear.
The closest thing I could hear is the swift stream
running with such beauty that I envy it.
I'm sitting on my swing which is hung over the stunning stream
of the wondrous Auvergne.
Little swirls start circling my feet as I dip my pink toes
into the cool water.I listen as merry birds overhead swoop and glide
over me without taking a glance at me.
Once the sun starts too set I start wandering to my Favourite place in my resort...The bridge
As I slowly reach the bridge taking all the time I need I start to feel the sand under my feet and the glow from the setting sun.
I was at the core of my resort, The sun was making the beautiful stream sparkle like a diamond as it flowed around my feet and then escaped around me and drifted down the small waterfall.I sat there for a moment on a bank next to the waterfall watching as the sun slowly escaped my sight.

Jack-In-The-Box
_(Grandfather, musing.)_
In childish days! O memory,
You bring such curious things to me!--
Laughs to the lip--tears to the eye,
In looking on the gifts that lie
Like broken playthings scattered o'er
Imagination's nursery floor!
Did these old hands once click the key
That let 'Jack's' box-lid upward fly,
And that blear-eyed, fur-whiskered elf
Leap, as though frightened at himself,
And quiveringly lean and stare
At me, his jailer, laughing there?
A child then! Now--I only know
They call me very old; and so
They will not let me have my way,--

Great White Hope
Putting myself back in the game.
for its time for change.
Love in my heart is dead.
and i need to feel it again.
i need to know
i have a friend under the shadow in which i walk.
For I'm walking the walk of broken dreams.
cut and torn up, but know something great is coming.
or maybe that's the great white hope i believe in.
well wishing is here, throw your coin in.
Oh tell me what you wished for?
was it for a cure, was it for the perfect happiness,
was it for the end of all wars? oh just what was it for,
mine was for love. some search their entire lives and never find it.
i already had and lost it in one feel swoop.
Its gone forever part past.
A mistake, that still causes my heart to constantly ache.
I'm a dreamer, I'm a redeemer,
i will reclaim it even if not the same.
No such thing as second chances.

Midsummer Dream
I dreamed of Paradise Garden;
sunlight sliding down
from an infinite sky
through cedar trees to emerald lawns;
oriental poppies six feet high,
Indian butterflies gliding by
through multilayered shades of blue.
Olympian Apollo’s statue
holds a fountain in his hands,
which swirls and mists, sparkles and cools,
cascading down to deep green pools,
where red carp flash on silver sands.
Gazing round I find,
beyond the mirror of my mind,
past flowering trees and shrubberies,
how all around
this fertile ground
the garden is confined
within a fence of iron bars,

Jane Awake
The opals hiding your lids
as you sleep, as you ride ponies
mysteriously, spring to bloom
like the blue flowers of autumn
each nine o'clock. And curls
tumble languorously towards
the yawning rubber band, tan,
your hand pressing all that
riotous black sleep into
the quiet form of daylight
and its sunny disregard for
the luminous volutions, oh!
and the budding waltzes
we swoop through in nights.
Before dawn you roar with
your eyes shut, unsmiling,

In Lupum
BEYOND the gates thou gav'st a field to till;
I have a larger on my window-sill.
A farm, d'ye say? Is this a farm to you,
Where for all woods I spay one tuft of rue,
And that so rusty, and so small a thing,
One shrill cicada hides it with a wing;
Where one cucumber covers all the plain;
And where one serpent rings himself in vain
To enter wholly; and a single snail
Eats all and exit fasting to the pool?
Here shall my gardener be the dusty mole.
My only ploughman the . . . mole.
Here shall I wait in vain till figs be set,
And till the spring disclose the violet.
Through all my wilds a tameless mouse careers,
And in that narrow boundary appears,
Huge as the stalking lion of Algiers,
Huge as the fabled boar of Calydon.
And all my hay is at one swoop impresst
By one low-flying swallow for her nest,

Pop-up Adverts and how They Crush Your Soul
I sat by my screen intending to write
An ode to the woman who gives my soul flight
Start up the computer and run through my mind
To see what emotions and feelings I find
‘Your eyes make my heart beat so fast it’ll pop’
(pop) SHOOT THE DANCING BEARS HAT AND WIN A LAPTOP!
I click the advert closed and try to regroup
My thoughts and my dreams and take another swoop
‘Your smile gives me joy other people wont know’
(pop) JOIN OUR NEW ON-LINE HYPER CASINO!
My flow interrupted again by this ad
I close it and try to get back what I had
‘Without you by me the world becomes scarier’
(pop) MEET OTHER HOT SINGLES WHO LIVE IN YOUR AREA!

Time Out Of Time
sometimes The crickets parted in a passing dance
sometimes You rearranged darling regrets
sometimes At one fell swoop
sometimes Guillotines rained out panorama
sometimes This origami heart roamed stranger fiction
sometimes We gathered storm in the vagaries of chance
sometimes Love was never any eager
sometimes Only an epic way of being alone
sometimes You rested on piercing envy
sometimes Light was a hot small breath

Song - Seasons of Galloway
The fields of wheat glow gold and sway
Old mem’ries flock from everywhere
On summer winds they drift in waves
Back to her towns and villages
As guillemots crowd ragged cliffs
And herring shoal off Clanyard Bay
Her sons and daughters all come home
In dreams of their young Galloway
‘Til gales come howlin’ from the west
The Cree runs high beneath the bridge
And Falling leaves ski down the wind
And starlings swirl upon the wing
For summer’s gone and sadness swells
In waves that break in Sand Eel bay
But shades of autumn weave their spell
Amongst the lanes of Galloway

The Fifteen Acres
I
I cling and swing
On a branch, or sing
Through the cool, clear hush of Morning, O!
Or fling my wing
On the air, and bring
To sleepier birds a warning, O!
That the night's in flight,
And the sun's in sight,
And the dew is the grass adorning, O!
And the green leaves swing
As I sing, sing, sing,
Up by the river,
Down the dell,
To the little wee nest,
Where the big tree fell,
So early in the morning, O!
II
I flit and twit
