Quotes about effort, page 9
Never
I wake. Yes, it's a coffin lid.-With effort
I reach my hands out and I call
For help. Yes, I recall the tortures
Of dying.-Yes, this is no dream!-
And without effort, like a spider web
I push aside my casket's rotting wood
And stand. How bright the winter light appears
In the crypt's doorway! Can I doubt it?-
I see the snow. The crypt's without a door.
It's time to head for home. How stunned they'll be!
I know this park, I cannot lose my way.
But oh how different it looks now!
I hurry. Snowdrifts. Frigid boughs
Of dead trees poke deep into the sky,
There are no tracks or sounds. It's still.
The realm of death in an enchanted world.
And here's my home. But what decay!
I'm shocked by this heartbreaking sight.

Sere Beyond The Grave
Stirring passions
fermenting youth
pass in naked
outstripped night.
Age waits to creep
across a dim.
Less lit stage.
Beheld by feeble
flickering touches.
Thoughts may submerged bend.
With encroaching senility.
Or stretched sharpen focus.
Upon true envisaged reality.
People dry up broken dispirited
as bleached bone sun scorched.
Through withered weathered
lack lustre embittered effort.
Uninspired undeveloped

Esra’s Letter
Believe me!
If you want to?
You can be!
Anything you aspire to...
Just believe...
in infused divine essence.
This doesn’t mean dreams.
Are instantly achieved.
Such aspirations are not won
lightly with simplistic ease.
Without constantly trying. Striving.
For everything has an approximated price.
We cannot attainment walk.
In all directions individually.
Without effort, hard-work, pain,
we leave little of worth behind.
Decide!
What you really want?

Selected to Make Decisions
So behind the eight ball.
Those that can not see the forest...
But also can not interpret the tea leaves.
Even if they had a sip of it,
They would choose to have it sweetened.
Regardless of the affects or purpose.
Or the intentions of the ingredients.
To move and advance forward,
There has to be steps made!
This requires effort.
With a fading of rhetoric.
And the saving of the paving of it.
When someone claims to be aware,
But can not see a moving truck.
Or stares at a beachball...
That hits them in the head,
Because they do not duck.
I pause for concern!

Health and Wealth
I pursued for the wealth in life till the end
Lost emotional touch and very good friends
Caused havoc with internal system of delicacy
Lost not only good health but complete privacy
I have nothing to retain except golden bricks
Same is of no use to me now as it kicks
I lament blind race for its hold in personal custody
No one can judge my mental plight and shaken body
No doubt it gave me some standing in social circle
But it had deep consequences and impact on its arrival
It changed complete life style and brought arrogance
Immense fortune is welcome but with only due importance
Let business trend not interfere with social fabric
It has its own inheritance and lacks some basics
What has it to with behavior when you are not going to share?
Why do we keep aloof when its close secret is totally unfair?

Homage To The Turkey (Second Try) ....[Birds; American History]
I sent off as suggested, my first effort to my Italian friend Carmi.
She read it and then requested something 'lower key'; to me that's Irish blarney!
I had mentioned, first time, Ben Franklin's affection for The Turkey; she thought THAT was nice.
I didn't mind naming Ben the first time around; this will make it twice.
Ben was famous as a diplomat when America was newly 'free'.
He was also an inventor I believe. I think once he used a 'lower key'
while performing an experiment with lightning, Nature's electricity.
It involved using a kite, and a kite string on which was tied a key ('lower'?) .
But back to Turkey: Ben thought the native Turkey to be noble as could be.
Despite Ben's efforts, the Bald Eagle, instead, was picked as a symbol of 'The Land of The Free'.
I must admit I admire and enjoy seeing both birds I did now name,
but the Eagle's pictured on money and well protected, while the Turkey's wild game.
Turkeys can be quite majestic when they strut about, their feathers ruffled and spread,
but unlike the soaring Eagle, in turkey season a hunter may shoot a turkey dead.
Death would not be my preference for either of these noble birds. I wonder now
if Carmi is reading and enjoying at least some of my words.

Few Hours At Their Disposal to Doze
Work involved was discovered,
For the many of them...
Doing things on a whim!
It isn't as easy as 'making' a baby.
Or turning on one's TV.
Those things done with little effort.
As one in minutes...
Or seconds becomes pleased.
A production is easier to take,
From the outside looking in!
It is not as easy as critiquing.
And that seems to be done quicker,
Than one can sip tea.
Although impatiently waiting,
For this to be prepared to one's taste.
As one hopes it would be
It isn't nearly as easy as it is,

You go alone
You go for self and wait for none
Fight it out all but one
You may loose path but never be afraid
River may change path and course not straight
Consider it struggle and not path simple,
Task you may have but not opportunity ample,
Life may be game even worst than the gamble,
It may be acid test ………….
Make earnest effort and try very hard,
Life may even last as you grow old,
Youngsters may cut joke and laugh also elder,
Task may get tough as you spread wider,
It may be harder than even Herculean,
You may bogged down and not come clean,
Dark clouds may appear making more thunder,
You may loose heart and fear more plunder

A burden on individual
It is great burden on individual if he tries to conceal
His conscience may bite till he doesn’t reveal
It is like mustering medicine on wounds to heal
He may have peace of mind and fee it in real
It is human tendency to feel pinch of salt
He may think all the time about his fault
He may not be in position to hide his guilt
It is human mechanism that is there and inbuilt
One must remain particular about doing small things
His strength lies in feeling great like kings
He may find it convinient o think of powerful desire
His followers may follow suit and always admire
One may feel unwanted and forgotten by everybody
He may have strong urge for hunger in body
H e may feel the impact of poverty despite being rich
Everything may seems to be slipping away beyond his reach

Motivation
Neither the motivation should be confined to word nor to book. Many things might have been written in book but so long as it is not put into practice or use, it can’t deliver the result. You might have experienced number of times that actual result can be had only after putting self before everything. The sales men may increase the sales by many folds but that may just not be the reality. It is performed under forced situation. It is doesn’t speak of any motivation, but only a consideration,
Think of commandant in battle field, surrounded by powerful enemy, and he is leading battery of disgruntled and demoralized personnel under his command? His final words or vision only may save them from disastrous situation or near annihilation. His powerful motivation or enthusiasm only may take them to a safety without loss of lives.
Here there is no compulsion on the commander. It is strategy and dedication, which in recent times, may not be found in any services. It is determined effort which may result into death for honour and sacrifice. It changes whole scenario and his powerful drive and enthusiasm may inject very powerful waves to fight back with determination for the frontal attack with safe passage and victory may be in sight.
Think of company or organization where you are heading it. The men working under your wing may not be the driving force until you inject some powerful views with your active participation. The people may follow you the moment they see that there is person who means the business.
What moot point in insisting here is that motivation comes from within. It is strength inherent and that can’t be learnt from any school. One is only driving force for his survival and future built up for his own carrier. There may be many reasons behind this theory but powerful one is inspiration which is taking place after realization of desired goal. No writers, leaders or fine books can make a men guiding force but can only inspire to a limited extent. It may strengthen some of views and find correct path to follow but rest comes from within.
One is master of one’s own destiny. In shaping the destiny, the dedication, motivation, sincerity and above all self involvement can pave the way to become powerful motivator. There are no excuses or reasons which can save you from defamation but determined effort on your part may definitely lessen the impact of damage. .
I subscribe to the sparkling views.
