Arab Spring
Remember Viet Nam? Remember Iraq and hawk republicans and neo cons going it alone with horrible loss of life and treasure amidst tax breaks to the filthy rich and a crashed economy? No thanks Romney/Ryan - George Bush. Should we hire some dictators? 2001 9/11 took place under a republican administration and they allowed 18 Saudi Arabians to take the world trade center down. They play oil games and could careless about all the hurting people underneath the dictators they supported. The dictators are going and the catharsis is here and I will take President Obama a thousand times over these rightwing blustering cowboy tea party nuts. The only thing Romney knows about foreign policy is where he can hide his outsourcing money to evade taxes.

Toy Caldwell
Every time I hear “Can’t you see” I think of you
“Can't you see, can't you see
What that woman’s been doing to me”
I loved your blend of rock, blues, country and even jazz
You stayed true and never moved from South Carolina
You were born and raised there and died in Sparta
You started The Marshall Tucker Band, a great band
You served in Viet Nam
What you see was what you got
I loved your lead guitar played with your thumb
Your brother Tommy played the Bass in the band
When he was killed in a car accident you were so hurt
You only had one wife and you were real
You lived a short life but you touched mine my friend
Every time I ride thru the Carolinas I think of you and Tom
Toy Caldwell I miss you and your music lives on and on

God Bless Speech & Debate
Neon lights, news files
Camera flashes, radio fires
The table is set, the crowd owes bet.
The debate is on, the world goes on.
The leader stands up, the listener follows up.
The noise breaks the silence, the voice shatters the resistance!
God blesses Speech & Debate!
Because since the beginning of the history,
And so long for the End of the history,

Water traces-Vodeni spomenik
Like a curtain of rain
That the hand will never
Be able to move it away
Not even when the eye opens up a drop
Like pools full of thoughts
Dissolving amidst the fall
A sound of the first thunder
Removed from the cloud
With the lightning the fire in hand
The thought dying alone on the breath
Our breathing it breathes
The islands are painting the waters
The waters are painting the skies
The skies are painting out faces
Are we just- the water traces
Vodeni spomenik
Kao zavjesa od kiše
Što ruka je nikad

Lesson
It was 1963 or 4, summer,
and my father was driving our family
from Ft. Hood to North Carolina in our 56 Buick.
We'd been hearing about Klan attacks, and we knew
Mississippi to be more dangerous than usual.
Dark lay hanging from the trees the way moss did,
and when it moaned light against the windows
that night, my father pulled off the road to sleep.
Noises
that usually woke me from rest afraid of monsters
kept my father awake that night, too,
and I lay in the quiet noticing him listen, learning
that he might not be able always to protect us
from everything and the creatures besides;
perhaps not even from the fury suddenly loud
through my body about his trip from Texas
to settle us home before he would go away

Am I
one of you?

Give Me a Chance
Girl, give me a chance to steal your heart
‘Cause I can. I’m both book and street smart
I know all I need about you
Like how your favorite color’s orange and the next one’s blue
I see your beauty and know about your knowledge
With your intelligence you can get in a good college
Or with your beauty
You can be anything you want to be
So girl, give me a chance to steal your heart
‘Cause I can. I’m both book and street smart
If I had the chance, I’d love you right
But you haven’t given me the chance to hold you tight
Or tell you I love you when the time is right
Give me this chance to tell you good night
Or talk with you ‘Till the daylight
I’m trying to change who you like, I might be close, but not quite
But who knows who’ll you’ll end up with. Could even be a gnome
But hey it could also be the one who wrote you this poem…

A Lady With A Falcon On Her Fist. To The Honourable My Cousin A[nne] L[ovelace]
I.
This Queen of Prey (now prey to you),
Fast to that pirch of ivory
In silver chaines and silken clue,
Hath now made full thy victory:
II.
The swelling admirall of the dread
Cold deepe, burnt in thy flames, oh faire!
Wast not enough, but thou must lead
Bound, too, the Princesse of the aire?
III.
Unarm'd of wings and scaly oare,
Unhappy crawler on the land,
To what heav'n fly'st? div'st to what shoare,
That her brave eyes do not command?
IV.
Ascend the chariot of the Sun

In A Soldier...You Will Find...
In a soldier...
Loyalty and strength you see.
In a soldier...
Discipline, bravery.
In a soldier...
A world that is free.
In a soldier..
Sacrifice, so the world can be free.
In a soldier...
No compromise.
In a soldier...
Courage in his eyes.
In a soldier...
A special bond.
In a soldier...
Iraq, Viet-Nam.
In a soldier...
Sad, drooped eyes.
In a soldier...
Pain, when a buddy dies.

In Rufum. Catul. Ep. 64
IN RUFUM. CATUL. EP. 64.
Noli admirari, quare tibi foemina nulla,
Rufe, velit tenerum supposuisse femur;
Non ullam rarae labefactes munere vestis,
Aut pellucidulis deliciis lapidis.
Laedit te quaedam mala fabula, qua tibi fertur
Valle sub alarum trux habitare caper.
Hunc metuunt omnes, neque mirum: nam mala valde est
Bestia, nec quicum bela puella cubet.
Quare aut crudelem nasorum interfice pestem,
Aut admirari desine, cur fugiant.
TO RUFUS.
That no fair woman will, wonder not why,
Clap (Rufus) under thine her tender thigh;
Not a silk gown shall once melt one of them,
Nor the delights of a transparent gemme.
A scurvy story kills thee, which doth tell,
