Quotes about shined, page 9

Tribute To Freddie Mercury

Your light shined forth oh so bright.
Through troubled waters you did fight.
Your power, your passion.
Through musical genius you truly fashioned a revolution of the soul. Your geniune lyrics were so bold.
What they mean to me cannot be told.
They move me so I feel released,
from the saddness I feel so deep.
You spoke the truth about emotions depth.
Showing heartbreak is not death.
You showed such courage and moral strength.
The world is better for what you spake.
You're the true king of rock n' roll.
Without you now it's all so dull.
Thank you Freddie for what you were.
Your life has truly touched us all.
Now rest in peace you blessed soul.
We love you much.
It was a ball.

On Sunday It Rained

Right now, I keep telling myself that I will have hope
It will bloom and grow
I will keep it up, I will raise it yet again
Then on Sunday it will shine
But I never learn to stop taking risks
Even without luck
So I have hope
It blooms and grows
I keep it up, I raise it yet again
But then on Sunday it rains, doesn't shine
Like I always thought it would
But I never learn
So I still have hope
After all these years
I keep it up, I raise it yet again
But then on Sunday it rains, no sign of shining
Anytime soon
I still haven't learned, so I used to have hope
It bloomed and grew
I kept it up, I raised it yet again

Apathy

Oh ye of little faith
Denying the grqce of forgiveness
Erasing your compassion
And turning in the opposite
Direction of your compass

Who goes there in your Head?
In needier times you shined
And your opened arms were there
Shelter was given
And love was aware

Singled out now from the masses
More a bleached out cartoon character
With no sense of humor
Serious to a fault
As if falling into deep ravines of clamor
Only to find more disheveled scions

Where is your humanity?

One Euphoric Rainbow

One Euphoric Rainbow was attacked
by a cloud, but awkwardly they fell in
Love, till the cloud had just been leaked
out. And 8 months later the Rainbow
still shined bright, Always looking towards
tomorrow, always ending the fight, only for
another to be sustained, but right now the cloud
will retain. It can't leak it's feelings and
or pour its soul, it can't hear the voice, it's
grown so old. How about the Rainbow, has
he gone confused, he wants to feel noticed
he really loves you, I write this for the
Rainbow that has that sullen glow, He finds
It hard to have no power, all he wants to
do is grow. He's decided to move on and
end the fight, it will be hard because of
your shining light.

Visit to the botanical gardens

Do you still remember my darling
how magically blue the sky was,
the bright green grass
where we disappeared in the exotic garden
between little paths that wind
up the hillock
and the shade at the stream
and how bright and hot
the sun shined on that day.

There were people and children
that climbed everywhere
and jumped exuberant
into the stream
and the sun made spots
through the thick tree branches,
but the biggest magic
were in your lips
that touched mine
the first time.

On the Eve of my High School Graduation

(written for my cousin Connor who graduated this spring. Congrats Connor!)

Today I am the I
I have written about:
'What I want to be when I grow up' essays,
'A meaningful experience'
Acrostic poems written with newly learned cursive.

Today I am the product of
Twelve years of schooling, of
Brow-furrowing, industrial-erasing,
Citing sources, raising my hand,
Carrying bathroom passes,
Wishing for Fridays.

Today I am free to explore,
Discover, learn, grow, create
the un-typed stories, the un-thought-of ideas.
I have the ability and the responsibility to bring change
To my world, nation, state, town, neighborhood.

A Girl Sang a Song

A girl sang a song in the temple's chorus,
About men, tired in alien lands,
About the ships that left native shores,
And all who forgot their joy to the end.

Thus sang her clean voice, and flew up to the highness,
And sunbeams shined on her shoulder's white --
And everyone saw and heard from the darkness
The white and airy gown, singing in the light.

And all of them were sure, that joy would burst out:
The ships have arrived at their beach,
The people, in the land of the aliens tired,
Regaining their bearing, are happy and reach.

And sweet was her voice and the sun's beams around....
And only, by Caesar's Gates -- high on the vault,
The baby, versed into mysteries, mourned,
Because none of them will be ever returned.

A New Morning

Could you have seen it coming
the wake of a new morning
where everything fell right into place
heaven shined down her grace
to keep you from falling

No-one there to hurt you again
you will never love in vain
where you hide behind your pain
with a smile on your face
behind a thin disguise

Your heart has been dismal
seems like for so long now
thinking that you were the one
to have to live in disgrace
from something you couldn't control
in a past so long ago
that shows darkness in your eyes
from all of the lies

Girl, Lindsey, by the Sea

The little girl in floral bathing wear
stretched out her arms and laughed and tried
to influence the heedless tide
that tugged at her delicate ankles and toes

The English boys played soccer on the sand
Grandma gazed from a canvas chair
Two men, of Indian origin
stood waist-deep in the bobbing waves,

arms extended, as if to dispense
grains of rice upon the surf
the droplets in their bushy beards
flecked by mirrors of distant worlds.

Perhaps they harbour precious shreds
of ancient Sutras in their paunches
in the circling of hands above the water
unnoticed by the sporting hordes,

At That Scary Night

As if, curfew, prevailed at that scary night.
In stillness, I heard a cranky sound of fright.
Waking up I looked through my open window,
Did I see a man or his ghostly shadow?
A blackbird flew over age old Maple tree.
The moon behind the cloud could not be free.
The waning light fell, on my tired cold bed,
The shadow, pushed in my room his demon head.
Leaves of Oak danced without any blowing wind.
My sleep and peace of mind thus simply got ruined.
‘Who is there? '-I asked in shivering fearful voice.
Canine teeth shined and flashed a pair of green eyes,
Then, dog wailed and moaned behind my house's hedge.
But, I could not gather all my lost courage.
Pressing the Cross uttered I—‘ My Lord save me.'
Vanished ghostly shadow, no more I did see.
