Rascals Final Run
We're going to miss you
my friend
I'm so sorry your life has come to an end
The way you'd run to the kitty cabinet
especially, when I slammed it
The little love bites
on our fingers and ears
we now cry only sorrowful tears
yet held you in our hearts
for nearly fifteen years
we'll always remember that famous cry
the pitter patter of your feet
ours lives will only be complete
at heavens gate
we will surely meet

Just Passing Time
Passing time,
Time passes.
And longing for times past.
With no pastime,
I think of past times.
Times of joy.
Sorrowful times.
Layered.
Like an alluvial plain,
I am inundated, flooded.
As the past floods in
Passing by the inner eye
I time travel.
Bad thoughts by passed
Passed all thought
They pass away.
Pass into the past
To lie again quiescent
A timely demise
For times past.

Determined Indifference
i like indifference
as a weapon, whether
happy
whatever carrot or stick
policy is used by the enemy
indifference sits on a bench
watches the big waves of the sea
unaffected
the wind wanders
the thousand eyes of the sand
look for a possible hint
on what is up to
they cannot find a thing
except the stare to nowhere
the calmness
amidst the sorrowful

An Old Man’s Shadow
Little man
Little boy inside
A cry for help
Distance, why?
I don’t want to die
Lonely heart
Driven apart
Ghost from the past
Is hunting for food
Dark memories
They last
Decided for good
No help today
Oh why is it so?
I have too much to say
Poor little man

Black
Black is thy thought, doth blacken thy name
Slandered beauty
So black is thy shame
Black is thy pupil doth blacken thy mood
Tortured beauty
So black when thy brood
Black is thy heart doth blacken thy tears
Sorrowful beauty
So black is thy fears
Black is thy skin doth blacken within
Black beauty
So black is thy sin
Black is thy hair doth blacken thy shawl
Despair beauty
So black is the abyss as thy beauty fall…..

Quit My Gardens, O Crows!
quit my gardens, o crows!
&
o noisy quarrelsome crows!
quit my gardens-
o birds of all feathers!
of different melodies!
of lonely bushes and thickets!
of far-away lands!
come here! visit me!
grace my gardens and groves!
nay, all yours, your heavens!
no, ours!
sing singly; sing in chorus!
melt in sorrowful strains;
and in joyous tunes!
but o hoarse-throated crows!
vacate my gardens
and retreat to the forest!

Lovelorn
Still,
Silent Snow
blankets regret
muted emotion,
white lifeless hue.
A dance of a love's
brilliant light
was once the breath
of springtime's dew
Scattered leaves
of Autumn's past
strewn throughout
it's lonely street
amidst, cold,
damp pavement
whence we struggle,
yet to breathe

Now and Forever
Beauty pleads-sorrowful-lingers
About what!
Since trust-in one's arms-is lost
Never regained!
To that person-terrible nights are common
To him now and forever.
He-meant to be negleted-thus finds
Nowhere gainst truth.
Trust got rust-so does he-forever.
Death-the only option?
Searching in the lover's eyes-the trust.
One finds it in hers.
Reason might be obscured-for the world.
But simplified roads-to be taken

How I miss the sight of your name
The words of yours that never get lame
How I miss the write of reality
That in your poetry I saw possibility
Like Siyabonga I regarded you as my mentor the respect I had for u is way higher that any stiletto
Come back oh wonderful bird
Rescue out this sorrowful nerd
Just your name in my inbox
Will be music in my ears from the jukebox
Come back dear lady
Write once more oh fairlady

That our love must be lost (in answer to N. P. van Wyk Louw)
That our love must be lost,
at a time will have to end
that there is an end to all things,
is something that I find sorrowful and amazing
that no one can stop the coming of the night,
when sometimes I see your sunny glances
tags at my mind as I do know
that nothing, nobody can stop death
when at times I hold you tenderly
as if love can last eternally.
