Quotes about celes
Sonnet: Dr John Celes
John Celes’ Rock is one that seems to grow,
Of composite make-up, from mole to hill;
The neighborhood has all now come to know;
This Rock will grow into mountain still!
Just as the Rock comes onto view of all,
Its density becomes greater each day;
No weather change can make this Rock to fall;
But if it should, ’twill come in God’s own way.
The Rock will get its due respect some day!
They will erect a monument for him;
His Indian brothers will feel very gay;
No more, the literary sun will be dim.
John Celes’ work will shake the world one day!
His voice will thunder in the mighty way!

Sonnet- The Devils Join Forces
A bunch of Snakes engage one poor Mongoose!
A pack of Wolves are after just one Sheep!
There is no fairness in the game they choose;
Their hearts are filled with ill-will, that too deep.
They attack now in concerted, a way,
Forgetting their diff’rences for a while;
Perhaps, they yearn for awaited 'hey-day’,
They scan each letter in my personal file.
They have to search the dictionary so oft!
They pool their worldly wisdoms to hatch-plot;
The words of John Celes flow from his heart!
God gives him great courage to do his part.
The risk is high but God is Poet's Friend;
All know that Truth will triumph in the end.

Sonnet: Thanks, Dear Poet Francis Duggan!
When sincere, honest words come from a peer,
Acknowledging a fellow poet’s work,
What joy afills the latter’s heart, Oh dear!
Would not the ecstasy turn him berserk?
The accreditation is charming too;
As words revered come from a heart of love,
And everything mentioned is very true,
I’m sure they’re inspired by God above!
The dedication seems indeed superb;
With foresight that a few poets possess,
The verse appears green like a magic herb!
I pray that God must Francis Duggan bless.
Oh, what a way to laud a poet’s verse!
So, thank you Francis for your poem terse.
Dedicated fondly to Poet Francis Duggan,
As a token of appreciation for his

Sonnet: Abide in God, the Master True
When God has plans for you to carry out,
You can’t refuse the Maker anyway!
If He insists a plant to somehow sprout,
It will have to, without a fuss, that day!
A loving God who made you just from clay
Does care for you, and guides you all through life;
He can’t forsake nor abandon you, aye;
He helps you in overcoming all strife!
The Maker wants His made to obey Him;
He will reward us with Eternity;
Our sins turn life dark, gloomy, grim and dim;
Must we not enter His Holy City?
Abide in God for He is Master true;
Remember that the Lord always loves you!

‘holy Family Church House-warming, Perundurai, T.n.’
Excerpt from Dr John Celes’ Welcome Speech
(to be held on 05-02-2010)
The Shepherd comes to meet his flock,
And bless the church that’s newly built,
Wherein an older church had stood on rock –
A sacred ground of prayer for Catholics!
Let’s welcome him; let’s welcome him, ye sheep!
He brings with him his staff that protects us;
This is the time our hearts with joy must weep;
The anointing will give us greater bliss.
Let’s thank the Lord for giving us this house
Of prayer to worship the ‘King of kings’;
Let everyone take Jesus Christ as spouse,
And tread the road to heaven as earthlings.
The Church though small looks splendidly laid out;
It has been christened ‘Holy Family Church’;

The Pope in US
(A poetic gist by Dr John Celes, India)
A historical moment for the world;
Pope 265 set foot on US soil;
Pope Benedict XVI was his name
The Apostle of peace and human rights;
He planned his itinerary with shrewdness;
He touched upon all themes that plague the world;
He brought the only hope to US- Christ;
‘With faith, let’s encounter the living God.’
He timed his visit when he thought most fit;
‘Humanism must be revived quickly.’
Modern world dabbled with key issues now.
The foundation of faith was in doldrums.
The heart of man could not be won by war;
For lasting peace, dialogue was needed;
He left his mark, indelible behind;

The waves I loved to hear,
The waves I most adored-

Wisdom Late
When the sun of life has set
In ripe old age,
Then, the wisdom of youth
Appears to dawn
To some!

Human Eyes
You might peep;
You might weep;
But God gave eyes to know
His Nature deep,
With beauty steep,
And your soul, to keep!
