Quotes about eleanor
Eleanor Young
Eleanor young, eleanor child
Standing on a lonely hilltop in the appalachian wild
Eleanor sing, eleanor scream
Shout loud for your own green world
Doors dont open for the country girl
Oh, they lied to you
They sung to you songs you werent meant to hear
They showed you life your eyes were never meant to see
Yeah, you should have seen right through
But you believed
Eleanor grow, eleanor cold
Midnight in a dim-lit diner, in the driving detroit snow
Eleanor yearn, eleanor learn
One child with no last name
Your boyfriend runs who do you blame
Oh, he lied to you
He did to you things they taught you were sin
He took from you the best that was within you
He showed you things your eyes should never have seen
And the saddest thing of all, baby you believed

Little Eleanor's Sleep
Sleep little Eleanor and sleep forever
Forget the troubles that lie behind you
Close your eyes and let them wonder
Sleep forever and fall into the blue
This world was filled with twists and turns
And you could not handle all its burns
I'd see you staring at the stars
And somewhere along you'd mind your scars
Was the world with too much pain?
Was every action made in vain?
Were the nights not beautiful though without the care?
Were the stars not beautiful or why'd you stare?
I know your days were filled with struggle
Every hour filled with battles
Every wound brought too much pain
Every action was in vain
Every breath was a fight on its own

Karl's Daughter
Eleanor, Karl’s daughter died
a Jewess and a suicide.
How sad the combination. Patriarchs
are perilous, and Marx
was no exception. To be born
from such a man can make one mourn,
and make one search for roots, but she
felt only death could make her free
Don’t blame the Marxman though, but rather
he lover, for she loved her father
no less than him who gave no ring
to her, one Edward Aveling.
Fathers, lovers both tie shackles,
and can both create debacles,
and though they both claim to redeem,
they often shatter self-esteem.
If you’re a daughter or a lover
from both of them you should take cover,
though if you find your roots you may

Eleanor was right. She never looked nice. She looked like art, and art wasn't supposed to look nice; it was supposed to make you feel something.

If there's a tiny cage for us,
We're Turtle Doves and exiled!
We cannot gatecrashed?
If invited only Madam!
We promise to sing in our soft cooing
The kind Master's Masterpiece!
'Eleanor Rigby' for those who have forgotten!
'I look at all the lonely people,
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
Where do they all belong? '
Eleanor Rigby, died in the church
And was buried along with her name
Nobody came?

Eleanor Rigby
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Eleanor rigby picks up the rice in the church where a wedding has been
Lives in a dream
Waits at the window, wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door
Who is it for?
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?
Father mckenzie writing the words of a sermon that no one will hear
No one comes near.
Look at him working.
Darning his socks in the night when theres nobody there
What does he care?
All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?
Eleanor rigby died in the church and was buried along with her name

Elanor Rigby / Eleanor's Dream
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Eleanor Rigby picks up the rice in the church where a wedding was been,
Lives in a dream.
Waits at the window, wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door,
Who is it for ?
All the lonely people, where do they all come from ?
All the lonely people, where do they all belong ?
Father McKenzie, writing the words to a sermon that no one will near,
No one comes near.
Look at him working, darning his socks in the night when there's nobody there
What does he care ?
All the lonely people, where do they all come from ?
All the lonely people, where do they all belong ?
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Ah, look at all the lonely people
Eleanor Rigby died in church and was buried along with her name;
Nobody came.
Father McKenzie, wiping the dirt from his hands as he walks from the grave;
No one was saved.
