Quotes about kashmir
Mine Kashmir
Kashmir which is mine
was a picture of paradise
Kashmir which is mine!
Its face
peaceful and serene,
its lips
smiling,
eyes
waiting and ready to welcome tourists.
waiting to hug
Nishat & Shalimar gardens
Feather rowing shikars # on Nagin & Dal lake
mangroves of chinar trees
gardens of almonds, apples and saffaron
howling hawkers
“Hako-hak, yekho-yekh”*
and those moments of pleasure soothing our eyes like
stringing of santoor
floating farms

O! Judges Of The World
O! Judges of the World,
The Guardians of peace,
Listen!
In the ablaze valley of Kashmir,
To the dripping trickling of blood.
O! Judges of the World,
The Guardians of peace,
The breathers in the spheres of liberty,
Realize you the human rights,
And fix no limit of cruelty,
In Kashmir who inflict atrocity.
Now our houses remain or not,
Our heads, the bodies retain or not,
We will utter the word “Freedom”,
We will snatch the right “Freedom”.
O! Judges of the World,
The Guardians of peace,

Kashmir: a fire within
Kashmir: a fire within
Kashmir of our dreams
remains only a dream
subconscious playing games
it seems, like a jigsaw puzzle
with no real solution in sight
feeling like a wandering kite
some materialise in reality
some not
our Kashmir dream has not
that is a pity.
Politics overriding our feelings
our leaders
wavering & dithering in dealings
none to blame but ourselves
we lost our own bearings.

Hakim Kahn
When first I found this forest place
More years ago than I can tell,
I met a man of alien race
And came to know and like him well;
A humble hawker, spare and tall,
Dark faced, a handsome, bearded man;
And often now bush folk recall
The kindly smile of Hakim Khan.
He plied his trade in ways remote,
Where bush-wives pawed his varied stock:
A working shirt, a winter coat,
Socks, handkerchiefs, a cheap print frock.
They chaffered with him till, at eve,
With well-fed horse and well-kept van,
Sim Jackson's block, by Jackson's leave,
Served as camp for Hakim Khan.
And many a talk and many a tale
We had together long ago.

Kashmir, who fools who?
No third country’s intervention;
No third country’s mediation;
No third country’s supervision.
It is on Kashmir, India’s contention.
On every massacre across the border
India brings in America’s attention.
Foreign Policy is an eye wash

Pietro
Strong,
Eloped,
Stories;
With bureaucracy and Plutocracy!
But i don't need F-16s flying over my head.
I am Pietro living in Kashmir,
But the works of my skills are potentially noted by my enemies as well! !
Hoever, i have no fighting songs to face them;
Because, i was only taught how to live in peace with one another!

Burning India
Kashmir is as usual suffering
Bihar is flooding
Delhi just got attacked
Ahmadabad received d same few months back
IT is glooming in Bangalore
Riots are happening in Mangalore
Orissa is full of Weather racket
Mumbai turns into bear market
Bengal is swelling with Nano-Singur misery
Noida-gurgaon is busy with rape cases and murder mystery.
If this is how India shines, then where are progressive signs.
Is India really shining? I guess it’s truly burning…

Dictator Is Better Than A Polite Coward
dictator, you are right, and remained never wrong
a coward speaks of peace and silence
silence is golden to an extent, but
when it is a matter of self respect and honour
peace is no need, but dictatorship
nehru sold country for china, kashmir for peace, but patel
brought the nizams to jail
ahinsa does not mean cowardness, bur dare to face hinsa and atrocity,
peace makes peace but needs dareface dictatorship, otherwise it is better to tolerate it than peace
which makes a man useless and slave by body and
