Quotes about pruning
I bind long Blackwood poles
I bind long Blackwood poles
with a blue pair of pliers and binding wire
between green palisades
and cut it with a old pruning scissor
into the right lengths
and wear a blue bull cap,
but the sun
burns the hell out of me
and every now and then
there’s coffee and water
and a friend’s pruning scissor
that I get from my sweetheart.
I work into the night
and she calls
and ask me
to stop working
and my neck and shoulders
and back and hands are sore
and my face is burnt red

Trimming
Clipping, smoothing, pruning; silly
dilly-dallies that people do.
Gross lessons in futility

Natural abilities are like natural plants, that need pruning by study; and studies themselves do give forth directions too much at large, except they be bounded in by experience.

Rhine Wine
our best times
are a fine wine
the mature wine
soil carefully tilled
years of planting
cultivating the vine
years of planting
growing pruning
fertilizing harvesting

Life and The Trees
when you sit upon a
rattan rocking chair by your window
and you see the trees that you have planted years back
it comes into your mind that
they all need the required
pruning and trimming,
after-which you reflect upon your life
and too they are some kind of trees that needs precisely what you think
is right, though it requires
pain.

Parents (a poem to sing)
Owning lands
moist soil
farmers
vow to sow.
Spreading seeds
all over
for healthy plants
to grow.
Watering the saplings
fertilising
good
for the health of plants.
Pruning them
and then
amidst the Godly chants.
Buds blossom
into flowers
fragrance
spreading
to and fro.
