Quotes about recite

A Poem Very Long

To the children of the world

I'll recite a poem very long;
I'll sit down, end of song.

I'll recite a poem without end;
I will, till the end.

I'll recite a poem very long;
Now if you'll excuse me, so long!

I'll recite a poem without end;
I'll sit down, the end.

My Addictive Mixture Gets Ya!

You're gonna look for me one day,
And recite.
Every little nuance that you read...
That I write.
And every night before you go to bed...
When it hits you like a light!
You're gonna ask yourself what it is that I meant,
Stirring up your inner sight!

You are gonna,
Look for me one day...
And recite.
Every little nuance that you read...
That,
I write.

And every night before you go to bed...
When it hits you like a light!
You're gonna ask yourself what it is that I meant,
Stirring up your inner sight!

The New Widow

Candle red as requiem
Words burn forever
Out the city door there is wings
Take your place on the stage
Find your face amidst the rage
Don Juan separates sex from love
Covered in silk consciousness
Hades waits like the prowling lion
Her lovers are masks
Her mirror of greedy self destruction
Now evening has come to the land
Everyone is living in a opium dance
Manipulated like a bouquet of roses
Her opaque smile like a barbiturate spell
She wants to be my horizon
The dead wait patiently for her kiss

Some can only chase and capture
Recite the angst dreams beneath the metallic
Recite the sphinx mind of morning’s pain

Of Coarse Fools

Vile, scolding words do irritate,
Good manners thereby will abate
If sow-bell's rung from morn to late
.

A new St. Ruffian now holds sway,
Men celebrate him much today
And honour him in every place
With words and ways that spell disgrace,
And make a jest of ribaldry,
Though belted not with decency.
Sir Decency is doubtless dead,
Fool holds the sow's ear, wags her head,
And makes the sow-bell loudly ring
So that the sow her ditty sing.
The sow leads on and cannot fail,
She holds the fools' ship by her tail,
That laden down no wreck it be,
For that would bring great misery.

I Am Understood?

Sometimes its embarrassing to talk to you
To hold a conversation with the only one who sees right through
This version of myself
I try to hide behind
Ill bury my face because my disgrace will leave me terrified
And sometimes Im so thankful for your loyalty
Your love regardless of the mistakes I make will spoil me
My confidence is, in a sense, a gift youve given me
And Im satisfied to realize youre all Ill ever need
You looked into my life
And never stopped
And youre thinking all my thoughts
Are so simple but so beautiful
And you recite my words right back to me
Before I even speak
You let me know, I am understood
And sometimes I spend my time
Just trying to escape
I work so hard, so desperately, in an attempt to create space
Cause I want distance from the utmost important thing I know

I RECITE A REAL POEM

I recite a real Poem,
The Poems I write are something else-
My Deepest Soul
My most Ironic Self.

On This Journey Recite Me A Poem

on this journey
recite me a poem
come closer to me
let me smell your
warm breaths
let me feel your
plump breasts
let me touch
you as you
recite the words
as i hear your song
let me be with you
on this journey
to your inner self

Poems in my Heart

Some of my poems are not printed
Never spoken, never heard
In my memoirs only written
And to recite them is a sin
Pleasing to some, will hurt a few
Not recite them is best to do

Now in my heart they're deeply etched
My mind and thought could not erase
They will forever there exist
Until my time do them delete

The Town Poets

They have the ticket draw for the football club
But never a poets hour at the local pub
'Twould seem that cricket and football are the in thing
And horse racing at the back end of the Spring
But of course the Town poets have their own poetry night
On saturday evenings at the bowling club rooms their poems they recite
The local lovers of poetry their night out enjoy
To watch local favourite poets such as Rina, Kate and Roy
Reciting their poetry and strutting their stuff
It cannot be said of them not quite good enough
Quite talented poets the tops of the Town
Young poets in their thirties who dream of renown
And recite their poems in the rooms of the bowling club
Whilst it's a different scene at the Town's biggest pub.

Poems

Poems resemble little strains
of our childhood's distant past,
care to cry and smile with us,
when we feel them in the rain.

Poems are like little soldiers
ascending to a mountain high,
singing a longing ode to nigh,
of what our silences express.

Poems hurt your hands in cold,
as north winds blow in Winter,
inside to commence and linger,
when old acquaintances unfold.

When loved forms annunciate,
in verses that were kept pure,
and pictures our loves ensure,
in misty solitudes necessitate.
