PRETTY'S NO EXCUSE...by Talile Ali
SEEN ALL KINDS OF UGLINESS DONE BY FOLKS THESE DAYS
JUST CAUSE THEY'RE PRETTY THEY SEEM TO THINK IT'S OK
TO RUN AROUND WRECKLESSLY AND DESTROY WHAT THEY MAY
FOR SOME REASON NO ONE WILL PUT THEM IN THEIR PLACE
THEY LET THEM RUN AROUND AND RUIN THE SPACE
BEING PRETTY IS THEIR LICENCE TO DEFACE
PRETTY IS NO EXCUSE
FOR PERPETUATING SELF-SERVING ABUSE
RAGING BULL ON THE LOOSE
PRETTY IS NO
PRETTY IS NO EXCUSE
WHEN AN ARGUEMENT COMES WALKIN THRU THAT FRONT DOOR
PRETTY WILL BE USED TO SHUT IT DOWN AND WHATS MORE
IT NEVER GIVES A DAMN OR WHAT THE HELL FOR
SAD TRUTH ABOUT IT IS THAT WE ALL PLAY
AROUND WITH PRETTY HOPING TO BE RUBBED RIGHT THAT DAY

Spirit Filled Men
Spirit filled men within The Ministry, must follow The Lord’s priority,
Being leaders now Born Again, they follow the Spirit not mere men,
God is The One they must obey, regardless of what other men say,
As it is God’s Rule and Law, that precedes man’s, not some but all.
Spirit filled men receive God’s call, to lead ministries big and small.
Ministries touching God’s needs, both watering and planting seeds,
While they disciple for Jesus Christ, leading others in their New Life,
In their new roles giving to others, as they help sisters and brothers.
Spirit filled men now used by God, are led by Christ’s staff and rod,
Both In the pulpit and everywhere, as God’s Truth together we share,
If The Spirit leads you to search, you’ll find them all over the Church,
Together, serving The Lord we love, led by God’s Spirit from above.
Spirit filled men are so willing to be, vessels for the Lord of Eternity,
Men, who have the mind of Christ, and willing to become a sacrifice,
Living sacrifices for The Lord above, to direct others to God’s Love,
Willing to be a part of a mission, to fulfill Christ’s Great Commission.

A Serving They Wish To Dismiss
If we did not have a yesterday....
Would it be tomorrow we now live?
To say that today...
What we could have done then,
With a doing more today...
To have our way as lived?
Could anyone honestly say or admit,
To a living with disappointment...
'If',
We knew those seeds planted grew...
Today?
Those 'ands',
With their 'ifs' to 'but'...
Crops up in memories,
Too much.
And dreams and wishes do come true,
To be fulfilled.

Silencing the Sobbing
There is talk of those deserting,
On battlefields where soldiers are serving.
Running away from an unjust mess...
To retreat alone in heartbreak and hopelessness.
There is talk among those who shoulder deceit.
To keep our young exposed to blood on foreign streets.
For 'interests' claimed to belong to 'us'.
But there is none walking the halls of 'justice'...
That anyone will admit they can actually trust!
Lawmakers investing in foreign currency.
Believing to keep this a secret...
No one will perceive they can do so openly!
As those who support this incompetency,
Watch without protest a failing economy!
Please!
Those who have allowed and see this...
Need to grieve!

The Lady Turned Serving-Man
You beauteous ladyes, great and small,
I write unto you one and all,
Whereby that you may understand
What I have suffered in the land.
I was by birth a ladye faire,
An ancient barons only heire,
And when my good old father dyed,
Then I became a young knightes bride.
And there my love built me a bower,
Bedeck'd with many a fragrant flower;
A braver bower you ne'er did see
Then my true-love did build for mee.
And there I livde a ladye gay,
Till fortune wrought our loves decay;
For there came foes so fierce a band,
That soon they over-run the land.

Lenexa Baptist Church Poet Tom Zart’s = Christian Quotable Quotes Of Life!
TOM ZART’S CHRISTIAN QUOTABLE QUOTES
THE POWER of WORDS
Words are the most powerful tools used by man
As hearts and souls reach for one another.
Sharing feelings of fear, wisdom and joy
Or our love for a significant other.
Where would we be without words
Which inspire, unite and motivate.
Songs, poems, stories, blogs, books
wars, religion, love, lust and hate.
Jesus preached words to the multitudes
And nourish their hunger within.
The stories we tell portray our spirit
As examples of weakness, triumph or sin.

Hermann And Dorothea - VII. Erato
DOROTHEA.
As the man on a journey, who, just at the moment of sunset,
Fixes his gaze once more on the rapidly vanishing planet,
Then on the side of the rocks and in the dark thicket still sees he
Hov'ring its image; wherever he turns his looks, on in front still
Runs it, and glitters and wavers before him in colours all splendid,
So before Hermanns eyes did the beautiful form of the maiden
Softly move, and appear'd to follow the path through the cornfields.
But he roused himself up from his startling dream, and then slowly
Turn'd tow'rd the village his steps, and once more started,--for once more
Saw he the noble maiden's stately figure approaching.
Fixedly gazed he; it was no phantom in truth; she herself 'twas
In her hands by the handle she carried two pitchers,--one larger,
One of a smaller size, and nimbly walk'd to the fountain.
And he joyfully went to meet her; the sight of her gave him
Courage and strength, and so he address'd the surprised one as follows:--
'Do I find you again, brave maiden, engaged in assisting
Others so soon, and in giving refreshment to those who may need it?

A lot of presidential memoirs, they say, are dull and self-serving. I hope mine is interesting and self-serving.

Humans
Humans…
Imperfect.
Serving darkness…
Mechanical.
Hard, fragile.
Humans…
Imperfect.
Serving light…
Natural.
Soft, beautiful.
