Quotes about token

Love's A Token (not Be Broken)

love's a token (not be broken)

when love come(s) around
true to calf my lover's ground
and tame me towards a love-a-dub
as if it were a lullaby
mara why?

and then!

love's a token
a promise not to be broken
my heart is like a token
my love is like a mountain
ever flowing like a fountain
you dearly caught be trapped with arms so open
for love's a token (not be broken)

thinking!
how often than not had i been caught

A Little Token

To spend with you and muse up with your love,
Like the role of a chieftancy against this backdrop;
Where one needs a little token to move on in life.

Think of the things that you can do on this earth and,
Try to support other with your love;
For there are still some bad nuts among us.

That is the way it is and somethings will never change,
That is the way it is and some trees will never grow,
That is the way it is and some people will never learn,
And the bloodstain in her panties was a state of shock and disbelief;
But all the matured ladies delved into the matter.

I am waiting for the second red light in life and,
Tom overcome the first was like a dream;
But no matter what, my faith will lead me on.

A little token is alll that it takes on your love,
Like the unique and distinquished acts of ones mind;

Incipit Liber Octavus

Token Cripple

Look there's the token cripple
To his wheelchair tie a balloon
Don't speak or cause a ripple
As he takes off for the moon.
Never approach the disabled
Though they're human or so it's fabled.
Look there's the token paraplegic
Address him through his carer
Save face and be strategic
A megaphone would be fairer
Never assume your ignorance shows
Don't prove your a fool
He already knows.
Look there's the token cripple
In a pub garden with friends, and talking!
You mouth to him 'What's your tipple'
And crack a joke about Stephen Hawking.
How much more cerebral he'd be
If like you he could master walking
- Away.

Workmen's March

Left foot! Right foot! Lines unbroken!
Keeping time is power's token.
That makes
one
of many, many,
That makes bold, if fear daunts any,
That makes small the load and lighter,
That makes near the goal and brighter,
Till it greets us gained with laughter,
And we seek the next one after.

Left foot! Right foot! Lines unbroken!
Keeping time is power's token.
Marching, marching of few hundreds,
No one heeds it, never one dreads;
Marching, marching of few thousands,
Here and there wakes some to hearing;
Marching, marching hundred thousands,-
All will mark that thunder nearing.

Ben Is A Knight For A Day

Full of energy and surprise
Ben had sparkles in his eyes.
He would be a knight for a day
slaying all of Razel's ice dragons totally away.
Ben is shining knight with a sword
he was great actor, never bored.
Hidden treasures of sparkly gold-
is what Ben has to find—he's been told.
For when jewels are found—
Sarah his sister can be crowned.
But only if her ice spell is broken
Ben has to find gold metallic token.
This token has the magical vibes—
-to break any ice spell given-
in Ferronian forest where fairies hide.
Ben must find Dreeka the dragon
-on his map-
he has to hurry up—
-take nothing for chance.
Ben finds Dreeka dragon in her cave

Father Africa

Father Africa! At a token ignorance,
You have given your inheritance:
To strangers you gave amuch
White loonies who do not eat in our dish.
Behold, with some sham laughter;
They transacted for few daughter;
They bring clothes and rum and guns
To shackle away your sons.
Father Africa, foolish you!

Lo! See Mama Africa cry
Her hapless tears undry
On her black beautiful, dark dimples
Oh Africa, chaos ripples.
See your sons brutally unfair
Taking hostage His own kin at warfare,
Selling them at ludicrous token
Oh Africa, your woes betoken!

The sun rose in great grief

Foreplay

Seventy seasons sliced by harvest scythe,
sent spent from feast’s fields to untimely grave,
while g[r]azing Time derides begged ebb-tide crave
denies recycled dream, Life’s token tithe.
Who dwells on Death when young and carefree, blithe? -
child heedless plays till taught how to behave.
Adult, aware of all he’d pay to save
from dark forgetfulness, as worm will writhe
an hour, though blind, before brain’s dropped by hive,
good-bye encounters, countdown’s final wave
submerging shawl with pall. Fresh faces pave
new roads, loads, sequent stage for limping, lithe.

Dead end lies destiny both mouse and man
enjoy - span evanescent also-ran.

Charles Kingsley

A New Forest Ballad

Oh she tripped over Ocknell plain,
And down by Bradley Water;
And the fairest maid on the forest side
Was Jane, the keeper's daughter.

She went and went through the broad gray lawns
As down the red sun sank,
And chill as the scent of a new-made grave
The mist smelt cold and dank.

'A token, a token!' that fair maid cried,
'A token that bodes me sorrow;
For they that smell the grave by night
Will see the corpse to-morrow.

'My own true love in Burley Walk
Does hunt to-night, I fear;
And if he meet my father stern,
His game may cost him dear.

Easier

I woke up early
And I can't see the light
My back is broad but
It's been a long and lonely night
What if I'm a fool for even trying
To right the wrongs when all we
had is dying
Like moving shadows
We dance around remains
The burning embers
Illuminate my shame
So yes, I am a fool for even trying
To right the wrongs when all
we had is dying
It's easier to leave
Not to face the pain
With everything to lose
Nothing left to gain
Broken
Empty promises you made
