Quotes about unravel

Finis Exoptatus

Boot and saddle, see, the slanting
Rays begin to fall,
Flinging lights and colours flaunting
Through the shadows tall.
Onward ! onward ! must we travel ?
When will come the goal ?
Riddle I may not unravel,
Cease to vex my soul.

Harshly break those peals of laughter
From the jays aloft,
Can we guess what they cry after ?
We have heard them oft ;
Perhaps some strain of rude thanksgiving
Mingles in their song,
Are they glad that they are living ?
Are they right or wrong ?
Right, 'tis joy that makes them call so,
Why should they be sad ?
Certes ! we are living also,

On Roanoke Island

On a summer day not long ago
I walked through the forest
On the Island of Roanoke
To my great delight there was not a soul in sight
All I saw was the sky and the sea
Seagulls flying rapture awaiting me
Spears of sunlight broke through a haze
Right by the old fort that mysterious place
It was then I felt I should not fail
To unravel a secret of long ago
What happened to the first colonists of Roanoke?
I summoned my courage to call out his name
The only person to know of the scheme
" Manteo" great Chief of the Island of Croatoan
Please shed some light onto what seems a terrible plight
There was a young mother named Eleanor who carried a child
So precious and fair all through history
We have known her as Virginia Dare
Silence… the call of a Jay a whispering breeze and I went on my way
It was then that I knew I would fail to unravel

Second Thoughts

Relationships are analogous to travel.
On any journey travelers make mistakes.
Even the best laid travel plans unravel.
Ever wonder about applying the brakes?

Let’s pull over and look at the time map.
The past rehashes where we’ve been.
The present illuminates an emotional gap.
The future requires us to look deep within.

Take time to develop the individual’s skills first.
Sharing newly learned skills are how we start.
Long trips make even the best relationships thirst.
Drink deeply from the cup and fill your heart.

Two decide whether to continue the trip.
Every captain has a co-pilot at his side.
God didn’t give us an old slave ship.
Freewill serves each other on the ride.

You Need To Step Away From Yourself

Do you think I care,
About your nasty petty shifts?
One day you're full of delight.
The next...
I will not be put up with it!
Not those crazed bi-polar tantrum fits.
You want to be understood?
Well understand my days with you are done.
I am enjoying the expansion of this journey I have.
I am not the one...
To have you unravel a happiness I've won!
This has been earned and not to be undone.
Your decision to drift in and out of wickedness,
Is yours not mine to have as sick fun.
From you I had to run.
From you I had to split.
There is too much to explore.
Too much adventure to ignore.
I'm not here to share your fits.
What you have is a tremendous ego,

Colleen Says

Never, have I seen a boy with as many scars as you.
It's almost like they are an inherent nevus with roots linking your mind to your body, your history with this present moment, your hardships and armor.
I first noticed the one on your upper lip when we made love in the hall.
And, When I saw it, in my eyes, with secular clarity I felt a deep passion for you, and began searching the cosmos of your body for more blemishing marks.

They all spoke to me loudly some of childhood with your adventurous spirit getting into trouble, others of punishments inflicted by your father, some even spooked me tremendously, I imagined the struggles you have had, and all those constellations linked by a thread each scar with the histories, of great legends, each with its place as if without them your skin will loosen and you would unravel in my arms.

What I am trying to say is this, You wouldn't be complete without your scars.
The ones on your knuckles and over your eyes
The tiny bites down your neck, on your wrist, your ribs and your surgery scars. All of them!

Even the one you have on the paw of your left foot, you thought couldn't find that one, my bear? how could I forget my favorite, I imagine you do sometimes, I see the memory of that one is particularly painful, and cannot blame you, I imagine you off your feet for weeks. or unaturally wandering with a slight limp. I want you to love me tenderly and completely. if only you could taste the dopamine in my saliva, youd know that those scars can be mended, taste my divertimento.

I want to trace the bulging veins on your arms which are like the rails connecting your memories to your scars like highways, freeways and expressways, I want to see your throbbing scars your throbbing sex I don't want to be afraid, and I want them to be mine. I guess all this means is that without you I would unravel.

A Song for the Arts

What ever happened to the ARTS?
hurrah for thunder
The illuminates of time preserved teachings
spanning from the aesthetic arts
to the esoteric and philosophical arts.

Historians take pride in moribund conventions
with the aid of a pen, they live in several millennia ago.
They take pride in the classics and internal relations
they are the key to the future.

Linguists take pride in language
they unravel the mysteries of syntax
they drown in the realm of morphology
they are crowned with phonology
and they are talented with semantics.

Musicologists take pride in musical aestheticism
they unravel the mysteries of dance
they take pride in the act of directing

Me be
Goddamn
I am
I can
Sing and
Hear me

If you want to destroy my sweater
Hold this thread as I walk away
Oh no

It gone
Bye-bye
Who i
I think
I sink
And I die
(chorus) if you want to destroy my sweater
Hold this thread as I walk away

Let It Out

People dont read so easy
Never wanna say whats on their mind
Go from dreams to dollars
Then they wonder why the truth seems so unkind
They just hold on tighter and tighter
Running down the road that they know so well
Never wanna change the order
Too quick to say that time will tell
Let it out - unlock the box
Let it out - unravel the knots
Let it out - if youve got something to say
Let it out - get it out of the way
Why be an artful dodger
Come cool kind of fool who can slide on by
Theres a whole lot of art in sadness
So make it worth your while if youre gonna cry
Let it out - unlock the box
Let it out - unravel the knots
Let it out - if youve got something to say
Let it out - get it out of the way

Open Your Heart

Smoke-colored l.a. sky. hand covers up your sleepless eyes. as morning creeps in. passed out there on my couch. wearing the face of down and out. my long lost friend. three cups of coffee and yo
Be on your way. until this time tomorrow you come crawling. back again. open your heart to me. think of my shoulder as sanctuary. open your soul to me. Ill try to unravel your tangled up dreams. and the only thing that matters is your heart stays open for me. I always pictured you. as clear minded but confused with wounds. no one could see. you always made the friends. that never stuck with you until the end. except for me. and the only difference I hear is your alibi. and the only thing in common is the reason. youre still here. open your heart to me. think of my shoulder as sanctuary. open your soul to me. Ill try to unravel your tangled up dreams. and the only thing that matters is your heart stays open for me. I can feel your loneliness. I feel your pain.
