Quotes about use

Mind Power

Dont use your fist, use your brain
Dont use your fist, use your brain
Dont use your fist, use your brain
Dont use your fist, use your brain
Mind power, every hour, any minute, every day
Mind power, every hour, any minute, every day
So when you walk through the door
Is this the bottom word
The fortress of violence will fall
When the tide will turn
Dont use your fist, use your brain
Dont use your fist, use your brain
Dont use your fist, use your brain
Dont use your fist, use your brain
Mind power, every hour, any minute, every day
Mind power, every hour, any minute, every day
Is there a place you belong
When there is no love
The light that shines is so strong
When you come out of the dark

Mind By Design

If you use it...
There is nothing you should fear.
Just don't abuse it.
Refuse to as you choose.

If you use it...
No dozing snoozing will oppose.
If you do as you suppose.

And if you use it...
Accusations will vacation.
Freeing you to cruise and choose.
To chase away confusion...
From your head that stays cool.

If you use it...
You can stop the drinking booze.
Or drugging up to soothe and numb...
Succumbing doubt that overcomes.

XI. Guido

You are the Cardinal Acciaiuoli, and you,
Abate Panciatichi—two good Tuscan names:
Acciaiuoli—ah, your ancestor it was
Built the huge battlemented convent-block
Over the little forky flashing Greve
That takes the quick turn at the foot o' the hill
Just as one first sees Florence: oh those days!
'T is Ema, though, the other rivulet,
The one-arched brown brick bridge yawns over,—yes,
Gallop and go five minutes, and you gain
The Roman Gate from where the Ema's bridged:
Kingfishers fly there: how I see the bend
O'erturreted by Certosa which he built,
That Senescal (we styled him) of your House!
I do adjure you, help me, Sirs! My blood
Comes from as far a source: ought it to end
This way, by leakage through their scaffold-planks
Into Rome's sink where her red refuse runs?
Sirs, I beseech you by blood-sympathy,
If there be any vile experiment

Like Ya Use To

YOU USE TO CALL ME
WE WOULD TALK FOR HOURS
BUT LATLEY YOU HAVE BEEN USEIN THOSE POWERS
TO HURT ME AND TO DESERT ME
WHY ARE YOU DOIN THIS TO ME
LIKE YA USE TO CALL ME
LIKE YA USE TO HOLD ME
LIKE YA USE TO PLEASE ME IN EVERYWAY
PLEASE TELL ME WHATS CHANGED YOU
YOU WOULD PICK ME UP
WE DRIVE FOR HOURS
BUT NOW YOUR LEAVIN ME BEHIND
IN YOUR DUST
WHY ARE YOU DOIN THIS TO ME
LIKE YA USE TO PICK ME UP
LIKE YA USE TO DROP ME OFF
LIKE YA USE TO LOVE ME IN EVERYWAY
PLEASE TELL ME WHATS CHANGED YOU
NOW YOUR NOT ANSWERING
AND YOUR NOT DRIVING ME

Virginia's Story

Elizabeth Gates-Wooten is my Grand mom.

She was born in Canada with her father and brothers.
They owned a Barber Shoppe.
I don't remember exactly where in Canada.
I believe it was right over the border like Windsor or Toronto.
I never knew exactly where it was.

When she was old enough she got married.

First, she married a man by the name of Frank Gates.
He was from Madagascar.
He fathered my mom and her brother and sister.
The boy's name was Frank Gates, Jr.
Two girls name were Anna and Agnes.

Agnes was my mother.

Frank Gates went crazy after the war
He drank a lot and died

Prince Hohenstiel-Schwangau, Saviour of Society

Epigraph

I slew the Hydra, and from labour pass'd
To labour — tribes of labours! Till, at last,
Attempting one more labour, in a trice,
Alack, with ills I crowned the edifice.

You have seen better days, dear? So have I —
And worse too, for they brought no such bud-mouth
As yours to lisp "You wish you knew me!" Well,
Wise men, 't is said, have sometimes wished the same,
And wished and had their trouble for their pains.
Suppose my Œdipus should lurk at last
Under a pork-pie hat and crinoline,
And, latish, pounce on Sphynx in Leicester Square?

Use Me

My friends feel that, is there a point of duty?
And he keeps trying to tell me,
All you wanna do is use me,
But my answer to all that use me stuff, oh baby,
Now Im gonna to spread the news,
And if it feels this good then use?
Keep on using me til youve used me up.
Use me.
Use me.
Mother sat down,
And you know she told me,
If he can overcome you, all hes gonna do is use you,
But my answer to all that use me stuff, oh baby.
Now Im going to spread the new.
And if it feels this good then use?
Keep on using me til youve used me up.
Use me.
Use me.
Now Im going to spread the news,
And if it feels this good then use?

Mrs Vandebilt

Down in the jungle living in a tent
You dont use money you dont pay rent
You dont ever know the time
But you dont mind
Ho hey ho...
When your light is on the blink
You never think of worrying
Whats the use of worrying?
When your bus has left the stop
Youd better drop your hurrying
Whats the use of hurrying?
Leave me alone mrs vandebilt
Ive got plenty of time of my own
Whats the use of worrying?
Whats the use of hurrying?
Whats the use of anything?
Ho hey ho...
Whats the use of worrying?
Whats the use of hurrying?
Whats the use of anything?

Use It Or You'll Lose It

Comeon!
Show what it is that you feel.
Use it or you'll lose it.

Comeon!
Show what it is that you feel.
Use it or you'll lose it.

Putting off today,
For tomorrow...
May from you disappear,
So...
Use it or you'll lose it.

Excuses made to hesitate,
Only dissipates what is real.
So...
Use it or you'll lose it.

Comeon!

What’s the Use of…?

What’s the use of immense beauty
When beauty isn’t even skin-deep?
What’s the use of one’s intellect
When from vices, you cannot keep?

What’s the use of a newer dress
When moths have made their ugly holes?
What’s the use of your earthly life
When goes amiss your heaven’s goal?

What’s the use of amassing wealth
When there’s no peace and love at home?
What’s the use of your body’s skin
When in winter, you can’t keep warm?

What’s the use of knowledge profound
When good character, it can’t mould?
What’s the use of siblings many
When hatred grows while all grow old?
