Forevermore A Child

When something is done so wrong.
Forevermore a child.
Age only on the outside.
Mentally forever young.
Needing to be taken care of everyday
She doesn't understand the adults.
She just plays with her toys.
Their the only thing left in her world.
A sickness created by evil.
A kind most don't want believe exists.
Out of sight, out of mind.
Locked away in prisons.
What will happen to this little girl?
Will it be a mental institution.
Will it be a nursing home.
Now property of the state.
Innocence in the heart she defines.
Even if she will be forever blind.
Not by her eyes, but in her head.
Some would say that a child that bared such trauma and abuse.
Are no longer of any use.
But she is not dead.
She lives on, not knowing of what the world has really become.
But of a make believe tea party in which she celebrates forevermore as a child.
