Year 2347

The human race has long died out.
The night is hot, the air is polluted beyond cleansing.
Animals cover in the filth we left.
The sun is trying so hard to shine,
Through smoke covering a purple sky.

Now what has happened to all we saw good?
The wall in China crumbled to dust,
Eiffel tower begun to rust.
What has become of the mine of Geita?
I lies covered by vines, gold stolen by people now dead.

And what of the seas?
They long died all but one, the Atlantic still heaves before the dawn.
Dolphin skeletons lay next to Titanic,
The cracks in the ocean floor fill with sand.

And how long will all this take?
I do not know, but for your sake,
I must say a long time yet,
Year 2347 give or take.
