Money Slips Like Water From Her Fingers
she must be angry
of money,
the moment money comes
through
for her to hold
she spreads her fingers
and there the money
slips
like water
like her dreams
slipping away
from her mind
slipping away
seems to be her game
i don't know
why she can't help herself
hold on to dreams
or simply to money
and save
a little about her future
now she comes
as poor as a rat
short of money and dreams and plans
she cries
and i tell her, it's nobody's fault
just hers alone
