Street Light
The street light
Looks at me
Eye to eye
And asks:
Is your mind
Brighter than me?
Of course, not
I say.
You do your
Duty diligently
Silently, not a
Word of grudge
Not a look of
Dissent, I see.
And me?
I huff and puff
At every duty
Given to me.
How can my
Mind surpass
The supreme
Intelligence,
The pristine
Brightness
Of thee?
