Imbalance

Screaming moments crept in, dark and stoic
Drum-beats thud incessant; my sanity bared
Wandering memories, homeless gypsies
No let, no give, spiraling down strange abysses

Lies and pretenses, they all stand winners
Witnesses around the pyre that lay down innocence
Circling scavengers, their circles, wider and wider
As the prey grow smaller, a pinpoint in focus

My mind cleaved; they want it gutted nevertheless
Tossing sleepless, and stealth knives waiting
Let me sleep, let me live, cried a silent night
And, love too, handicapped, waits with the rest

The stench of deceit is all around, too strong
Everywhere, on every moon-locked day that dawns
Some truths cant take the daylight that tends life
And some lives cant take the darkness that bear them…
