Lost
Those walls never whispered his name somehow
I went to his house believing I would find him
The hollow rooms too quiet, the gardens aloof
A frail palm growing on his forgotten ashes
There was a lone picture upstairs, lost and angry
It had his eyes shouting in pain and confusion
Neglect had eaten him, his soulful eyes staring hard
They were on fire, rage and disgust toying him helpless
Tears couldn't reach him when he died,
His face didn't get kissed like everyone else's
A soul just snuffed out, killed by no reasons to live
As his children stood frozen in another land not far away
Each of them now live the same frozen void
As memories march incessant on their fractured lives
Battling hard each day, to forgive and forget
They still peer into the tricky past, to search for their father…
