On The Line
I put my heart on the line for you,
For you to leave me hanging,
Hanging dead like hangman.
You always guessed the right letters,
But somehow the words were mixed up,
and jumbled,
Like, I am now.
You were on the other end,
So I don't understand how we got disconnected,
When I was looking you straight in the eye.
I put everything into you.
Just to be knocked down like a power line,
You walk a thin line,
And somehow,
You can't be thrown off.
