Broken Innocence
My father breaks my bones
My mother breaks my heart
I feel so alone
Completely torn apart
My friends break my will
My sky has seen better days
I've lost all the thrill
And the beauty of my ways
Inside is something mangled
Corroded, terrifying
Tears that always strangle
A constant threat of lying
Words that bare no truth
Giving weary ears a break
Not understanding my youth
The lie they easily take
Now and again some sly ear will hear
The tone of my voice
Someone close and dear
Never by choice
Now and again some sly eye sees
The quiver of my lip
That comes so naturally
As my head slowly dips
