Lessons learned...

I sit and stare into the vastness of space,
Desperate to find my path and my place.
I ponder what's gone and what's yet to be,
When shall this heart I own ever be free.

Is it a known fact, or just a guess?
That life means little and death means less.
That through all this sorrow, grief and pain,
We shall live our life's in utter vain.

I like to think we're meant for much more,
That the life we live shall tally a score.
And the souls we lost amidst such sorrow,
Shall hold us close in our final tomorrow.

Yet the truth I fear is not what I yearn,
We should all seek to be a lesson to be learned.
For each generation must add to the last,
So we do not repeat the mistakes of our past...

Spread the love... The peace will follow...
