A Lesson From Escalante
It was an instant in eternity
Some words that strike and linger
Touch cords in one's humanity
With wisdom to make one ponder
In life we face inevitable truth
There is some failure and defeat
But lessons learned from these bear fruit
When falling comes, to rise and meet
Again to face life's challenges
To not bow down nor count the falling
But to write there boldly in life's pages
The many times one gets up... rising.
'In life, you don't count the many times you fall -
you count the many times you get up.'
(Jaime Escalante)
