Dear Heart
If I could have another life
I hope I'd find you there
Perhaps the love would then be right
And you'll be my answered prayer.
If I could have another life
You know that I will do my best
To reach for you and set my sight
With you, I know my heart will rest.
But life comes only once and then
All that remains is emptiness
My love has died and never given
A chance for it to gain happiness.
What matters now in eternity
Without you all is darkened pain
There is no dawn of hope to see
