New years Eve Dance
This new years eve
I willl dance
With the hands of time
For I know her moves
For we have danced
From time to time
She going forward
While me looking back
Both knowing no future
Till it has come to pass
Oh how funny we look
As we glide across the floor
Never knowing where we'll end up
When the dance is no more
Will it leave me a better man
Or a mess for all to see
All I know for certain
That there's a dance
Waiting somewhere for me
To hold it so very close
For a moment it may only be
But sometimes my friend
Those moments last
For an eternity
