You Were There
You were there just a short time
You were there to set me free
From the depths of depression
You were there to heal me
I reached out and you touched me
In a way no one else could do
Oh how the years have come between us
But the heart that God gave you
Gave you the compassion
To rescue me
Oh how I wish the world was different
Where friends could be just friends
For there were to many questions
That had no ends
Answers that could be answered by you
For who is more trusting
Then those help others
No matter what the cost
For if the bible was written tomorrow
Your name would be in bold print
For you are one of God's people
His glory will be yours
