Kismet's Key
I am all dolled up for a date in cyberspace
As the heart yearns for an adventurous escape
In to the arms of a prince in waiting
For a call from heaven one of mating
Sores on my knees from an eternity on pews
Dust on my lips from an infinity in queues
As the heart tugs every man passing by
The psyche shatters in solitude's sigh
In to the 30s and still no sign of a jingle and a clamor
Of a sword wielding knight in shining armor
Cacophony of the mind in these unsettling seas
No body to teach me the birds and the bees
Then in a flash e-harmony came to my fore
As the unsettling oceans ceased their waves to the shore
As tranquility transformed to inner harmony
Love finally knocked on the door like an orchestra philharmony
As the trumpets raged a new opening beckoned
As the pessimist in me momentarily slackened
Optimism crept to my heart like a snow fall in summer
As the melodies of love arose from its eternal slumber
Now I'm dolling up for a heavenly chat
Daily to the gym to shed my tabby cat
Walks in the park like a leaping antelope
As the heart is ready for the ultimate elope
He was a guy next door with a gigantic form
Who lived with his parents in his quaint family dorm
A scientist by profession but a citizen of the world
Who pacified my heart from the past hurt's whirl
Now I've got my bearings away from broken promises
As first dates ended with gentle tickling kisses
The cheeks in a chemical peel from the trickling after shave
As droughts of love endured not even a close shave
E-harmony the gallant savior to my life
As I dream of suburbia sans a single morceau of strife
The church lady, my adviser, my beacon of destiny
As wading I was to the arms of a man with love aplenty
Love tugs the heart with a longing for one
Love knocks on your door like the rising of the sun
Love beckoned to me with a password to destiny
As Lee's worldly web handed me my own kismet's key
