Emptiness
This emptiness lives within me
Hide it well, not for others to see
The very existance of my being
Trying to be happy, always agreeing
Loving so deeply, feeling confused
Wear my heart on my sleeve and it's so bruised
Getting through life, one day at a time
Feeling old, they say in my prime
It seems like I've lived a hundred years
I have yet, to conquer my fears
Fears of being left all alone
Chills me to the very bone
So many skeletons from my past
Lurking near, like shadows cast
This life I live, I will continue
Till I'm called home, this is my menu!
